"The tranquility overlooking the valley from the terrace, the restaurant and the pool. Gorgeous Tuscan setting. Lovely old nunnery buildings. Be aware that the menu is limited and does not change day-to-day. Otherwise wonderful."
"We arrived in the evening, and had a bit of a challenging checking in. I would advise to have someone who is a native Italian speaker join you to communicate with the staff. We were moved to another guesthouse as there was a mix up with our reservation, which they apologized for.
Property was clean and mostly quiet. Some of the other guests were quite noisy during the night, but that was only one night where we had this issue. All the instructions are in Italian, so be sure to have a translate app where you can take a photo to translate.
Overall, a quiet place to sleep in the countryside!"
"My friend and I had a nice stay at OROROSA Lucca City Center Apartment but I am happy we were only 2 of us as 4 or 6 people in there would not have been comfortable. Please also note the apartment was advertised with 2 bathrooms - that is not true - the apartment has got 2 toilets but not 2 bathrooms - there is only one shower. For 2 people it was nice and spacious with a living area, kitchen and toilet downstairs and a double bed, 2 single beds and a bathroom upstairs. The location was perfect just around the corner from several bars, which we loved - but be aware it can be noisy at night and also early morning if the bin collection is happening. The disadvantage about this place if you carry a lot of luggage is that there is nowhere to leave your luggage if you arrive early or leave late. Also when I booked it said the property would contact you 72 hours in advance with check-in details - we had to chase for that as I never got an email. Overall a nice stay but also space for improvements."
