"We absolutely loved Masseria Torre Saracena and were so happy to have booked our stay here. The building is an elegantly restored historic stone structure. Each room has a small private balcony with views of the surrounding valleys, hills, town of Aggrigento, and ocean in the distance. "We visited in September 2026 and, if you're visiting shortly after this date, expect a work-in-progress. Let's start with the amazing: outstanding gardens, pool, landscaping and just the general luxurious feel of the place. The suite we had was excellent as well, with a few issues (weird lighting controls, typical in Europe so no points lost there) and a glass door on the toilet room (gross, hotels need to stop doing this). Strong wifi. Comfy bed. Great AC. Friendly staff. Great breakfast! I mentioned a work-in-progress and it really is, although not in a negative way. I think the owner has grand plans for it, with many new suites and other rooms so this is great. There's construction work but it's quiet and respectful. Just don't be surprised by it. The negatives: the restaurant isn't great. The food is mediocre and expensive. Wine list had reasonable choices out of stock, trying to push to EUR 65 bottles. But the biggest scam of all is the EV charger. *** ASK FIRST HOW MUCH *** I've never been charged EUR 65 for 40% top up on my car. OUTRAGEOUS and straight up scam. That same amount at even the worst, Enel X charger is EUR 20. Tesla charges about EUR 15. Would I go back? Only if the EV thing gets sorted out and the restaurant gets better. Otherwise it's a lovely place in need of some better conveniences."

"This hotel has a ton of character, clean rooms, good breakfast, and a very friendly and helpful staff. It’s super close to the beach and the parking is easy right out front. Being jet-lagged and my first night in Sicily, I couldn’t figure out how the AC unit worked, unfortunately, but opening the windows helped and I still slept very well. I will definitely come back to stay here again!"

"The Villa Athena is an amazing luxury hotel with an amazing location. With a direct view of Greek temples, as well as private access, sets this property apart from others. In addition the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We also enjoyed our private balcony with direct access to the property and pool area. The staff was welcoming and attentive. I like the size of the resort as it feels more intimate and personalized. We also took advantage of the amazing restaurant as well. We will definitely return for another stay in the future."

"Beautiful hotel and pool located on the beach. Definitely recommend getting a sea view balcony because the view is stunning. I booked this hotel because the description said it was a 12 min walk to the Scala dei Turchi, it is much longer closer to 40 mins walking the beach. The restaurant dinner located onsite was okay and will do when not wanting to go anywhere for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asking for information about the local tourist attractions. Very clean and well maintained."

"Beautiful, quiet, peaceful property, located 5 min off of SS115. 10-15 min drive to coastal towns of Realmonte or Siculia, either beaches or restaurant areas. Nearby is busy Agrigento which is a large town. (20-30 min drive depending upon traffic from hotel to Valle dei Templi). This hotel has a good central location. What is phenomenal is its' location as a place to unwind at the end of the evening, when returning from the beach or bar/restaurant areas in nearby towns. It is quite something to stay at a converted orchard (olives/fig/lemon trees) farmhouse at a higher elevation, with a fantastic view of the coast, a unique experience, one we won't forget after the hustle and bustle of other stays in Italy (eg Rome, Sorrento) Francesco the owner was very helpful during our stay."
