"Beautiful family run hotel in an excellent location close to the city walls. Bars and restaurants on your doorstep and lovely little cafe opposite for breakfast. Hotel breakfast is 13 euros per person, substantial buffet breakfast well worth the money. Just an 8 minute walk into the city with lots of beautiful restaurants. Would recommend Hotel Du Pont Vieux to anyone visiting Carcassonne and would definitely stay again if returning."

"I booked last minute due to being stuck due to train cancellations. The property was very close to the train station, market, restaurants, etc. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. There is onsite laundry facilities as well. The room was spacious and clean. The area was peaceful and safe."

"Very pleasant stay here very central for Carcassonne old town and new. Some maintenance issues in my room but nothing to spoil my stay. Very clean, staff very helpful and really polite. "This was terrific value for money and would happily stay again. While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. All in all, very good."
