It was supposed to be five star but it seems that they are about to sell or have been sold to another company as not much happening in this hotel. The room is old and dated there are coffee cups there but no kettle nor tea bags. The sitting area in the room has lots of brown stains. Bathroom was nice. Pool is great its huge and nice design. What we did not like is the service. We went 30 mins before they close (they closed so early 6pm in Summer time) and wanted to order food but they no longer serve and told us to order in the restaurant. Went there only to be told that they dont serve dinner until another hour. So I thought we will just order room service but they dont want to bring the food at the pool side. Only allowed to eat in the room. Suffice to say we did not enjoy the stay in this hotel.

Previously stayed here before but declined since in standard. Check in took over an hour due to inability to process a CC from another country. Rooms required daily asks for items such as towels. Shower leaked whenever used causing dangerous conditions. Sink basin fell hitting foot one morning. 5star maybe once, but not anymore!

Nice room for a convenient price
I can start by saying this stay had a good value for money. My experience was actually brief (one night) so I can barely judge my room and the basic services. The hotel has a really good design which I liked a lot. The room was tidy, clean and spacious. With a nice balcony, which has a really nice view all day (and even better at night). So overall the check in was seamless, pretty basic for a 5-stars hotel. So was the breakfast nothing too fancy but very good. So overall I can say it was satisfying.

This hotel has probably the best location! Next door to a shopping centre, minutes from Old Medina (by taxi) and very convenient and safe. Hotels amenities were great. Staff were very friendly. The front desk manager who's name I forgot was very kind and helpful. We were on the second floor above the restaurant so every morning we could hear the chairs being moved around. On the date of departure is where our stay went from excellent to poor. I wanted to go to the airport to pick up my rental and for some reason the only option to go is to take the hotel referred company for 250 dirhams which I figured was a scam. When I asked twice about the price the girl at front desk and the bell boy was giving me attitude that he was going to cancel his friend. Than after 5 minutes of standing around the bell boy recommended a random person who was standing at the front door to take me to the airport in a very old dirty vehicle. He still took the 250 Dirhams from me and dropped me off (15 - 20 minute ride max!). The guys was nice but I don't think the bell boy and front desk staff should have scammed me like that as its not the right thing to do. Overall its a beautiful property with amazing amenities and I would stay here again! DO NOT ask front desk or bell boy for any rides as they will take their commission cuts and over charge you!

Hotel was lovely and clean and smelt beautiful. The room was large and grand but needs a little tlc in the bathroom as the shower soaked the floor. Breakfast was lovely and staff very polite.

Air conditioning not working for expensive hotel
Air conditioning was not working when we got to our room. Asked the reception to get the air conditioning started but their response was to open the balcony door. I had already tried doing that as it was really hot in the room. However, moths and other bugs were entering the room through the balcony. Despite several complaints nothing was done with regards to turning on the air conditioning. Paid for an expensive room but did not receive the service required. Very disappointed.

The hotel common areas are very nice and in good condition. The rooms are nice but are showing signs of wear, not what one would associate with a "5 star" hotel. As others have noted, the bathtub is designed poorly and water spills all over the bathroom floor. Check was pleasant and painless, staff is very helpful and kind. Hotel is behind a shopping mall, which was very convenient. Breakfast was too expensive, so we didn't do it. Bed was comfortable, balcony view was great, pool was gorgeous but we didn't use it due to cold weather. There was a small bloody stain on the comforter, which I hid from my wife so she wouldn't freak out.

Good all round standard
Following an important meeting in Rabat, 6 of us spent a day in Fes. The others had a wonderful tour of the city. Unfortunately I had fallen sick the day before and needed to recover. The location was fine, not right in the old city but near enough. This hotel was recommended to me by a local and I can see why - a good all round standard. A relaxing base to see the town from.

Family visit to Fez
Our family of 3 had originally booked a riad within the medina of Fez, but found it claustrophic and cold and actually left after our first night, so I was looking for a relaxing and restful stay. The Palais Medina is in an incredible location just off the main drive, 15-20 minutes walk or a 5 minute taxi ride to the main medina gait and literally next to a large mall with large Carrefour and liquor store and nice food court. Plus you are minutes from the central downtown area. Upon check in, the process was quick and professional. I was quoted a much higher rate (which always includes their breakfast plan) than was available online through several sites (I used Expedia); but when I showed him the rate, I was encouraged to simply go ahead and book online in the hotel lobby and I waited less than 10 minutes to be checked in. Breakfasts are expensive and add significantly to room rate quoted. The hotel is new (built in 2011) and looks really beautiful. Beautiful winding drive, beautiful and expansive lobby, and large marble staircase leading down to an impressive pool and gardens. The restaurants likewise look beautiful. The rooms are "standard" size but with larger, nicer bathrooms. Ours was a deluxe room with garden/medina view with a lovely balcony. Very comfortable.

It was ok.
We decided to spend the last 2 days of a long trip in Morocco at a nice hotel (vs. a Riad) to get some R&R before heading back to the states. The reception desk ladies were really friendly and helpful (printed our boarding pass, arranged a cab, etc) but other than that the service was ok. We spent the afternoon at the hammam and spa, and that was a great experience - definitely recommend it. Our room was a great size with a comfy bed, except wifi barely worked unless you were in the bathroom (which to be fair was a great bathroom) and the ac was super weak -- not sure if it was actually broken or not ( we came in November so it was cool enough to sleep with the doors open). The food at the pool bar was really not good -- we were eating there out of convenience and ordered a pizza which tasted like it had been sitting in a freezer for a few years but it was fine. The last thing (and it sounds silly but super annoying), we had a bottle of wine and needed an opener - we asked at check-in and they told us to call when we got to the room -- 3 attempts at having them bring us one, failed (they would say they would bring one and just wouldnt). There's a mall that has a full grocery and liquor store about 5 min walk away, so we just went to buy one since they wouldn't provide one. Overall, we got a good deal so happy we stayed but there's other spa/resort in the area that would be worth a try next time.

It's nice but not a 5stars hotel
It's a nice hotel. I can believe that it was a 5 stars hotel when they opened but they haven't been taking care of it and you can see in the furniture and bathroom. But you can get very nice offers in Expedia that it makes it worth it. The staff is nice and friendly, especially accommodation. The swimming pool is nice and not always busy so you don't have to worry about finding a place to lie down. BUT if you are travelling with children, be aware that the lifeguard does also the job of washing/drying the towels so he won't be watching the pool half of the time. In general, we had a great stayed and i liked my room. But don't expect that a 5 stars hotel in Morocco to be one like in Europe.
