Nice property to relax. Pool is nice. Breakfast is meh but works. Room was spacious although felt outdated and lacking lighting. Some staff were very helpful while some could have been more friendly.

A gorgeous property staffed by kind and helpful folks. Breakfast was quite nice and was fairly priced. The views from our fourth floor windows were breathtaking. It IS quite the journey of all the stairs, though. (No elevator, of course.) We hated to leave and think often about when we might plan to return.

We were here during April. The weather was too cold for the pool. Breakfast was good and the restaurant was excellent. The views cannot be bested. We had a great time. The resort has wine and oil to taste, there are also many other vineyards nearby to sample. The resort is also less than an hour from Florence.

Maybe my expectations were too high. To stay in a remote vineyard in Tuscany sampling wine, eating good food and completely relaxing. Travelling with my partner and 2 dogs we had a long drive and reached the hotel late afternoon, our room wasn’t ready but we thought not a problem we will go eat, after sitting in the restaurant for a while and not getting served we got the attention of a waitress who said they had set up for the evening and could only offer us crisps or peanuts and a drink. When the room was ready we was excited after noticing all the rooms overlooking the vineyards on the hills below. Our room turned out to be at the back of the hotel overlooking the car park and service entry road. We had our evening meal which was okay at best but not worth the 120 euros. In the morning. We was woken to delivery vans, staff and golf buggies driving passed our room, our dogs would not settle. Breakfast took ages to get a drink, in fact we had to go ask someone after waiting. The bar at the pool was barely staffed so hard to get a drink. The pool was nice but it had a pool lining that was loose in places. When we tried to get a late lunch at 2.30 we was told the restaurant was setting up for the evening and we couldn’t have lunch on the terrace. We were in the middle of nowhere, there are no other food options, everything just felt disjointed and poorly managed. We decided to pack and check out a day early. Such a shame as it could be a great experience if done right.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The property is beautiful and I would definitely recommend booking their wine tasting - worth it! Restaurant on property is also great and super convenient. The rooms are a bit tight if you have lots of luggage but we made it work. Bathrooms were okay. Always clean but also tight. Shower was lovely - hot water and great pressure.

Amazing place to spend more than just a night, if You are travelling around Florence. very nice escape from the city. The place offers lots of activities like their own made wine tasting, also the area is huge, You can wander around in vineyards. Very romantic.

We loved this property and all it had to offer. Great staff, rooms and food options. The location was a bit secluded but it made for a peaceful time away from the hustle. We booked a cooking class through this property and it was Devine and very close by! Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Margarita villa and it was beautiful. The staff at the check-in desk were polite and always willing to help. We would definitely return but if we did, we would consider renting a car as it is pricey to take a taxi into town (10-15 minutes away).

Came here for our honeymoon. Absolutely loved the property. The wine and olive oil tasting was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend to anyone. The wine options were also incredible. The only feedback would be to have some different options of food on the menu. Very reasonably priced menu, but staying there for multiple days I wish I had a few more dinner options.

Had an amazing time at Palagina. The grounds were absolutely stunning and the rooms clean. A small few things they could focus on is giving the rooms a bit of a face lift as they do seem dated and improve ventilation in the bathrooms to avoid the mold. Also screens on the windows so you can open them without the worry of bugs getting in. Enjoyed eating at the restaurant and loved the wine/wine tour. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful location and space. Service and restaurant not very accommodating to guests. No food anywhere on the property from 2:30-7 pm so very difficult for travelers. No connection to taxis or transportation. Offered little help. Restaurant service was interesting….

I absolutely loved our 2 night stay here, don’t think twice and just book it. Had some trouble finding property at first as it is divided in two areas, so make sure you set your maps to the right location. We were in complete AWE once we got our room and walked around the property which is just absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The views are stunning as its on top of a hill, especially with early morning light. We didn’t originally planned for it but we ended up doing breakfast and dinner both days as the restaurant is one of the best I’ve been to, specially dinner menu. Lastly, their staff is what I’m most grateful for; we had a medical emergency and everyone was so kind and caring and managed a very scary moment for us, wisely. Thank you for all you did for us. Will definitely come back and hopefully stay a bit longer.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. My husband and I brought our 7-year old for a 10-day trip in Italy. We explored Rome and Florence but the highlight of our entire experience was staying at Villa la Palagina. The surroundings are gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff was so warm and gracious. It was the perfect getaway from the busy city centers. We booked a wine/olive oil tasting and we got to bring home a souvenir bottle that our son poured and corked directly from the barrel. While the furnishings in our villa were a bit rustic and outdated, the AC and main pools more than made up for it. Especially on those 95+ degree days. 5 stars across the board and I hope we get the chance to visit again!
