"Hotel lobby and rooms are fresh and well maintained. I have stayed here several times because this is in a convenient location. My only complaint is that your windows badly need cleaned. Over several years, they continue to be very dirty and appear to have not been for many years. Also paying $38 and taxes adding up to a total of $43 is exorbitant. "
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Austin Capitol / Downtown
2/10 Terrible
"The TV was broken and almost fell on us. There was no soap and it had a mild smell of body odor. The AC cord was unplugged and we were too scared to plug it in due to maybe a faulty wiring. We left and are requesting our money back."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Austin Downtown - University by IHG
4/10 Poor
"Breakfast was listed on the website until 11 but upon arriving we were told that it’s only until 9:30.
Parking accessibility is weird having to use 3 different elevators from the parking to the rooms. Someone also tried to access our room in the middle of the night. "
"Small but beautiful rooms. The view of the capital is spectacular. The staff is an absolute delight. Mini fridge, hair dryer and clothes steamer available in room. Coffee, water and in-shower essentials are part of the amenities offered. Not a ton of closet space but functional for a short trip. Room is very clean. The only issue I had was with the bed. Unfortunately, it dipped down at the head. We slept at the foot instead. Be aware that the parking is expensive, we paid almost $150 for parking our rental vehicle for 2 nights."
"Loved the location, history, and amenities of this hotel. The facility is amazing and the staff was great. Highly recommend, would stay again. Very spacious rooms. Very reasonable prices. "
