"Lovely location, right on the East Coast Trail. Easy to find. Sauna was wonderful. Room was great - cooking facilities were nice to reduce eating out costs.
Could hear people in adjacent rooms (just everyday noises, they were not being particularly noisy/partying)."

"Absolutely beautiful rooms and location! We loved staying here. Big rooms with stunning ocean views and a comfortable bed.
One thing that could be improved is the hallway needing to be sound proofed. If you are staying in the lodge rooms, you will hear other guests and staff stomping down the halls late at night and early in the morning, which woke us up a couple times."

"Room was very spacious and well maintained. Stayed for 6 days. Housekeeping service was hit and miss. They did not come 3 days (we don’t expect linen to be changed or receive clean towels each day). But we expect the coffee for the coffee to be replenished each day, the small tubes of bath gel/shampoo to be replaced, dirty coffee cups and wine glasses to be replaced with clean one. Had to go to the front desk to request these things. One day they left a wet, smelly cleaning rag in the bathroom sink.
Breakfast was good, service generally good (except one day it was extremely slow). We were leaving early on the last day, before the restaurant opened, so they said they could provide a take away package the night before. We had to follow up 2 times because it was not delivered as promised.
Internet: signed into the hotel internet as per their instructions. The first 2 days the wifi kept cutting out, requiring us to sign back in. Sometimes we had to wait 10 minutes to sign back in. Mentioned this to the front desk, only to be told they would mention it to maintenance. Eventually I found a second hotel wifi site labelled “ext” (probably a booster) which worked fine for the rest of our stay. One would think the front desk would have mentioned this!
It is a nice hotel, conveniently located. Just could up their service level à little."
Delta Hotels by Marriott St. John's Conference Centre
10/10 Excellent
"It’s was a beautiful property, walking distance to the harbor and memorials and many great restaurants with live music. Room was very nice and comfortable."
"The governor was a great place to stay, I’d go there again.
I wasn’t thrilled with service in the pub even though I tipped. Maybe regulars are the most important people in there and I can appreciate that. Might need to spend some money on those booth seats cause they’re pretty worn. Other than those things, the governor as a whole is a good place."
"Good place to stay outside of St John’s. It would be nice to have darkening curtains (light very early during the summer) and a weather strip on the bottom of the door, it would help reduce the noise from the the hallway.
Friendly and helpful staff."
"Cliffs Edge was somehow magical . It is well designed and is beautiful and unique . A hidden gem in my opinion.
We had the best stay with a well equipped , well decorated room and we also had a wonderful dinner in the Forager restaurant on site .
Will definitely stay again while on the rock !!"
