"It is a lovely hotel with all its spa facilities. Room was very comfortable. Staff very helpful. However, it does not have a central bar area where you can just relax with a drink. I will stay there again next week but I will be looking for another option in the Friesland area."

"This place was a beautiful hotel with a great restaurant and super friendly staff. Room was big and beautiful and when i asked to be moved to the first floor for easy access for me and my bike they happily obliged. All around lovely place would highly recommend. "

"At first glance a very strange experience at what seemed an abandoned roadside hotel. After a couple of minutes we were greeted by the host though, and from here everything was smooth. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and freshly cooked meals. The facilities, facades and ‘restaurant’ for sure needs a good hand to be somewhat more presentable and inviting, as it gives you a feeling that the place has had its time of glory in the past. "Hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and shops. There is limited parking places, but the parking in front of the hotel is free. Breakfast was included and was delicious. They had a nice variety of things to choose from (bread, croissant, yogurt, crackers, fruit, etc). Our room was neat, clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. "Just to summarize: one of the nicest smaller city hotels I have visited in years, clean, crisp, attentive service, very nice and spacious rooms, free coffee, cake and warm snacks in the afternoon, big breakfast, fantastic waterfront location, walking distance to downtown. "

"I stayed 2 nights at this hotel while my husband and I visited Papenburg. The staff were professional and helpful. The hotel itself is austere but clean and bright. When I was there, the hotel's clientele were mostly older customers and their adult children.The hotel had a calm atmosphere and there was little to no noise on my floor. The rooms were a good size and had a ton of outlets and USB ports to charge your phone. The only thing that I didn't like about my room was the mattress. I found it to be very hard. The best aspect of my stay was the breakfast. So much food and non-dairy milk for the ceral. I just loved it! "

"The room was clean but a little basic. The reason I can't give this hotel a higher score is because it was near two or three bars, and it was very noisy. People coming in to the hotel at 2 am very noisy. It's kind of funny because one of the free accessories in the room where earplugs. I am thinking that the manager of the place is aware of this noise issue and the rooms are definitely not sound-proofed but if you're looking for a quick stay and are willing to wear earplugs to sleep, then I can recommend this place. However, I would not return here."
