"Upon arrival the owner met us and unlocked the front door to reception, not friendly at all, we were told restaurant was available only for breakfast which was too late for us as we were catching a ferry. We were told to always use the back door for access, as front door would be locked, strange for a hotel, but the most annoying thing was the look on her face , she looked at us like we were a piece of dirt from under her shoe, unbelievably rude to say the least. Stay away! Nice area, but not...

"We stayed in this very special hotel for one night on our journey from Calais to Dijon. It is as special as it looks in the photos having an extensive and interesting history which adds to the character & drama. The parking is very secure and there were several charging points. Dinner is in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel (it is part of it) and the food was really good being exceptional value for money. Breakfast in the dining room echoed Downton Abbey grandeur!! No hesitation in recommending and we will likely use on our next journey...in 2027! Tim & Eleanor"
