The south at it’s very best. Beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. I only wish that we’d had longer to stay. David was very friendly and accommodating. I can’t recommend this beautiful home strongly enough. Stay here……you’ll love it.
I made the reservation on line through Hotels.com. The major storm associated with the recent hurricane took away power from the area of the hotel and there was a lot of damage. I went to the hotel and the proprietor told me that my booking was not valid as The Oak Manor Inn is not even tied in with Hotels.com for booking. As such I was left without a room for that night. Very displeased with Hotels.com for booking a room that was ultimately unavailable.
The location & inn was nice; however, there was a reservation moxup & innkeeper dod not expect us. There was no one to answer the door…only a phone number. After A long drive it was disappointing
This is a beautiful historic home with more than basic necessities. While we didn’t have access to microwave or ice machine, all other accommodations were there and great. I highly recommend Oak Manor Inn to anyone wanting a relaxing overnight stay. The screened porch is wonderful and the landscape is beautiful.
Comfort like home. I've never stayed in a "Bed-N-Breakfast" but I like the concept.
Super quiet neighborhood and college like surroundings. A little direction on how things work..(where to park, guide to room, checking out etc.) but talk about welcoming. I showed up late and there as a key at the front door!
A wonderful sleep at a country like inn. The breakfast was one of the highlights of the trip. True southern hospitality.

Quaint, Quiet.. perfect!
Lovely home. Beautiful location. Nice quiet neighborhood. Management and staff super friendly, every need met with a smile! See you next year!
Couldn’t rate the hotel because we received an email telling us we couldn’t stay because they overbooked leaving us without anywhere to stay and no choice but to leave the event early or pay an exhorbant amount for some dirty little, extremely overpriced hotel room....ended up having to drive home the same night.

Good value
This is a nice choice for the price. Nothing fancy, but clean and a nice breakfast.
The grounds and the house were both beautiful! The room we had was very nice and spacious, and very comfortable. The en suite was a bit small, but still very nice. The location was quiet, and not busy, but still very close to downtown with lots of shopping and good places to eat. On that note, the breakfast was delicious!
Only complaint was that the television in the bedroom would not connect to the server, and the wifi would also not connect, but otherwise, extremely enjoyable!
We called to say we were checking in late. At that time we were told that the key would be left in an envelope outside the Inn. The envelope did not even have our name on it. Also there was a lizard on the floor in our room as well. I think it was dead as it never moved, but it made us quite uncomfortable
Oak Manor Inn - My Number One Choice in Hartsville
All my stays at Oak Manor Inn have been more than pleasant. The owners and the other guest make it the special place that it is.

The room that didn't exist
We got there after driving 6 hours only to find out that they didn't have a room for us. I never received a notification from them or from expedia. They claim they were already booked when I made the reservation through Expedia. I keep getting requests from expedia to write a review, yet we never got to experience the place Instead we had to make last minute accommodations to stay at a roach infested, very dirty motel in order to attend rhen event we were going to that weekend. Very disappointing experience to say the least.

Southern character in historic house
Was visiting Coker College with my son and decided to find somewhere different to the typical Hampton Inn etc. Booked a room in this historic house and it was an overall good experience.
This is an house built in the late 1800's so it obviously has it's drawbacks but I felt it was pleasant. The decoration is very british and has a "granma" style with a british touch. Clean room and bathroom and normal anemities. True the bathroom sloped 3 degrees but... it is a house built in the 1890's! Really nice personelle made you feel at a typical english Bed and Breakfast. A southern breakfast with fruit, grits, eggs, muffin and sausage was included. No complaits there!
If you are visiting Coker, the Inn is literally 1 min away as the gardens are side by side. Overall it was a good experience with a nice family "being at gramas house for the weekend" feeling, If you prefer the typical impersonal "bla" comforts of a run of a mill hotel, the Hampton Inn is just 7 blocks away.
