"Staying at this property was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Perched right on the banks of a stunning river, an escape from the crowded cities into a unique place of peace, history, and natural beauty.
The hosts - a warm and wonderful family, learning about their way of life and experiences was truly inspiring and memorable. Authentic and comforting, their cooking was made with care. Hope to be back!

"Rui was an amazing host, very kind and helpful. The communication was clear and timely. The hotel was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. The location was good for us as it allow us to walk to the Morrish castle, Palacio de Pena and Quinta de Regaleira. We loved having our breakfast in the patio while enjoying the view to the Morrish castle. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. The room was quiet, we choose a first floor room with a small patio. "

"If you like one of a kind exoeriences with 4* accommodations this is the place! We loved the drive into the mountains and then the surprise of arriving at a restored medieval shale village! Our apt, Maria, was perfect. It had an ultra modern interior, very comfy bed and barh, full kitchen, infinity
pool, and a gorgeous view. I wish that we could have stayed longer to hike the trails. And breakfast was excellent!"
