"Loved the area outside."

"This is the second time that my wife and I have stayed at this hotel pre-cruise and, as was the case the first time, we had a great stay. Although the neighborhood is a little "rough around the edges" (litter, vacant businesses, some homelessness, etc), we never felt unsafe. In fact, we've come to appreciate Dania Beach, where you can find some good restaurants, a casino (if you plan your visit properly, you might get to see a game of jai-alai), and a beach, all within walking distance. And if you don't want to walk, you're never far from a Broward County Transit stop. While Las Olas it definitely is not, you could do a lot worse as far as budget hotels go! There is also a free shuttle from the airport and several paid shuttles to the cruiseport. Super convenient! If you're driving, there is a parking lot which is large and well-lit (we were not so don't know if it's free or paid). As for the hotel itself, the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the hotel (while full with other pre-cruisers) was pretty quiet. Breakfast was busy every morning with lots of choice, both hot (eggs, different type pf meat every day) and cold (yogurt, cereal, bread, bagels, etc). My only complaint was with the morning staff (they seem to get overwhelmed quite quickly and one of them, a small older lady with dirty blond hair, is consistently grumpy). If you can stand to look the other way when it comes to the environs, I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Construction between buildings, closed pool for private event did not provide extra seating at second pool. Front desk people not helpful. Electric out let’s not working. Everything was an “up charge”"

"The hotel looks nothing like the website the beautiful palm tree with the lights and everything doesn’t look like that. It looks more like a motel than a hotel. The pool is smaller than what it looks like on the website. The staff was wonderful. You have to do a reservation for maintenance to give you towels or clean your room. It’s by Appt."
