Overall good customer service, however the place hasn’t recovered from the storm yet fully that’s apparent. Although not a big deal to me but did see a few cockroaches around the property, including one in my room.

Found this property by chance. What a find!! So happy we did! Only a one night stay as we were traveling through but oh wish we could stay longer. We will be back! Thank you Ms. Annie for a warm welcome and thorough run down on the amenities (which includes beach chair/pool toy/umbrella closet for property guests- what a nice surprise 😃) The surrounding area is still very much in the recovery process from the recent hurricane hit, no fault of Edison. Neat, relaxed beach town feel- not too commercial. Property is older but very clean and well appointed. Just a delight. Close enough to walk for entertainment and eats. Walk down the beach or to the marina- maybe a block or two. Not a lot of street lighting back yet- but did not feel unsafe. Very enjoyable overnight!!

Great spot! On the beach, all suite and super convenient for some of the best beach restaurants! The pool is in renovation, but hotel provides beach chairs, umbrellas, noodles and beach towels! Can’t beat these views either!

Greeted by friendly, professional personal at the front desk, felt very welcome. Explanation of the facility was very simple. Accessibility to the chairs and towel and walk out to the beach could not be easier. The view from our balcony was magnificent. Clean room and all the amenities were perfect. I definitely recommend staying at the Edison.

Bedding fit on the bed the first night that we stayed. We went out for the day and found the bed was made despite that sign that says it will be done on the 3rd day of our stay. When they changed the bedding the sheets did not fit on the beds and the blanket kept sliding on the floor. The sliding doors need to be WD-40’d. They are very difficult to open and the room above our room sounded like they were moving a piano until 2 am. Between the doors and moving the patio furniture we hardly slept. With the curtains closed at night the bright spotlights from the people turtle hunting on the beach at night, all night kept laminating our room and kept us awake. The pool is not fixed and this we knew of going into the vacation but the area around the pool should be cleaned there is no need for that site. I don’t often complain but these are easy fixes.

Thank you KeriLynn for the review. Unfortunately we cannot control the turtle season and we have to wait for our permit to do anything to the pool area. Hopefully by the end of this month we should have our permits.

It was on the beach, & that was great. The only reason why I didn’t give it a higher rating was because it could use a little updating, I.e: one of the bedrooms had a big slash/hole in the carpeting, so that needs to be replaced, & the fan in one of the bathrooms was, obnoxiously, loud. Also, our unit was missing the sign that you hang on the door if you do or do not want housekeeping services & we didn’t even know we were supposed to have that sign for the door & because we weren’t hanging it on the door knob, (because we didn’t have it,) housekeeping kept walking in & startling us. It wasn’t until the second to the last day that a very nice gentleman from the housekeeping team found a sign for us to hang on the door, & then the problem stopped. overall, parking wasn’t an issue, but over the weekend, when people were checking in & checking out & they had a lot of extra staff on hand to get the units ready for new guests, parking was a little scarce. Otherwise, it was very comfortable, & I would stay there again, but I would make sure to request a west facing unit. Our unit was on the other side of the building, so we didn’t get to see the sunsets from our balcony, but it was OK, because it just gave us an excuse to go walking on the gorgeous beach. Be aware, Fort Myers Beach is still recovering from hurricane Ian, & there is still a lot of devastation all around this building. There is a ton of construction going on, but the building is pretty sound proof we & didn’t hear it

Crowded surroundings because the building was right next to the public beach parking lot. The beach is not private but if you walk farther, you'll find beautiful quiet spots. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to Margaritaville.

Overall the property was great. Location is fantastic, direct access to the beach, friendly staff, comfortable beds, super clean, great views. The only downside is the construction equipment next door that runs all day long. It’s understandable bc they are still rebuilding after hurricane Ian. Lastly, morning showers were challenging because there wasn’t any hot water, even after letting the shower run for 10 min. Night time shower was not an issue. Even though we had those hiccups, the friendly and hospitable staff make those items minuscule. Annie is fantastic and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We would definitely stay again!

the ppl working at the Edison were very nice! The place could use a bit more love but had everything you needed and great views of the water. Note that there are many areas of FMB that are still trying to recover from the hurricaine. Great Spot!

The space and building were in a great location. Cleanliness was good. Bed was comfortable. Area is still being rebuilt from Hurricane Ian. When patio and pool are complete it will be very nice. Sunsets were beautiful.

Our stay was great. We knew going in that the area was still hurting from hurricane Ian. That being said. The location was great for walking to several bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed walking down to MoJoes or Mom’s for breakfast. The staff at Edison Beach House were extremely friendly and helpful. The condo was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. You can’t beat being literally on the beach the first step off of the patio. Can’t wait to get back down. It may be our new annual spring trip.

I never share reviews, I just read them, but this one is more than worthy. We just got home from the Beach House. I was there with two senior boys on their senior trip and an 8th grade boy, we had a King size bed a pull out sofa and also an air mattress. This looks like a one bedroom apartment! I haven’t stayed in a room like this before. It has a fully stocked kitchen so we got groceries before we checked in. Pots, pans, dishes..even a crock pot! The beach is literally in the back yard. There’s a washer and dryer in every room so I didn’t come home and wash clothes! We were able to cook yummy breakfast and lunch, went out for dinner and late night ice cream (all in very close proximity). There are little things here, like salt and pepper or a dish of tide for clothes. Popcorn they left in the microwave to pop. Or sugar and coffee creamer for the drip coffee they have. No, the pool is not open, but it doesn’t matter. They are working so hard to get things open, and open it is. The bed was comfortable and the pillows weee nice! They have some umbrellas and chairs you can get from the office. The only thing I would’ve changed is that the towels were scratchy on our sunburn! But I get it, they’re in the sand as well as rhe bath! Please if you are a family, stay here. I’m picky and I want a safe, and clean place, this is it. Anyone who has a different review forgets there was a hurricane. I’d stay again 100 times over!

This property & the area are still rebuilding after Hurricane Ian. Expect less than ideal conditions. Edison is a relatively good value. It is on a public beach so noise is a factor. View is good. Beach umbrellas & chairs can be checked out for the duration of the stay. Negatives: Towels are scratchy & sparse. Maid service was little. Nothing got thoroughly cleaned in our 5 day stay. But the positives outweighed the negative- Bed was comfortable & sheets were fine. There was a washer & dryer in the suite & a mini kitchen. All in all a good enough experience. I’m sure things will continue to improve. There was a crew working on the building daily. Traffic on & off the island can be backed up for over an hour. Time your travel to avoid sitting in your vehicle & doing nothing.

Well done Edison Beach! Perfect for our quick trip. My mom, my daughter and I. Well equipped with drip coffee pot and well stocked for cooking multiple dinners. Thanks to Annie Liz and Marlene for keeping us informed and they were so helpful during our entire trip. We walked very morning and treated ourselves to a fancy coffe at MoJo’s coffee/breakfast food truck. Loved parking the car and not getting back in until we headed home. Very comfy beds. Very clean. Beach chairs and umbrellas included! The area is on the mend from Hurricane Ian so know FMB looks very different but felt helpful pumping funds back to the area both with the hotel and local restaurants. So a bit of noise, sure, but a true sign of the area’s recovery; well worth it. Thank you!
