We loved how spacious our room was; room 212 with front balcony; big counter in the bathroom, lots of reasonable space around the beds. The breakfast was perfect for our needs, the staff was pleasant, lobby warming and parking was great. For us the only thing that would of been a tiny bit better is a bigger fridge with a freezer in it. Also even though the pillows looked very white and spotless, very clean but some of them had a none-fresh scent. Other then that, we would definitely return to this hotel :)

Nice place. Great views of the river. Walkable distance to shops and restaurants. Underground parking is tight. Especially when driving a full size truck or equivalent.

This property is a short walk to the tourist shopping area. Parking is underground. Might be tight if you have a larger vehicle. The rooms on the river side offer a nice view and early day sun. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. Housekeeping staff were quiet in the morning.Breakfast was plentiful @ "happy hour wine and beer were avail. As were veggies, pretzels, sausage and fruit. Property is next door to a local brewery. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend Merv Herzog for a pleasent stay.

We will never stay again. I don’t know if the people above us live here, but we could hear them all night! When I say all night, I mean all night. I could hear them talking, walking, pounding on things, opening doors. I was very excited to stay here, but I didn’t get ANY sleep at all. I’m so disappointed I spent the money I did to stay here. The beds are also not very comfortable. When someone moves while in the bed, the whole thing moves. Location is nice, but that’s about it. Very disappointed.

The only thing I would change is the use of washer and dryer for guests!! We stayed 3 nights and 3 days. We really needed to wash at least one load before we left. There is not a laundry close by. It’s in the next town. ☺️

I have stayed here 3 times now and it's been good every time. I wish it had a pool or something like some of the other places nearby do and it's outdated in decor but it does the job for a place to stay in Frankenmuth. It's pretty conveniently located as far as all the shops and restaurants go so if you have a few drinks you can easily just walk rather than drive. It has been clean every time I've been there and I haven't encountered any rude staff.

Attached garage was nice. Having a complimentary beer in the evening was a plus. The room needed blackout curtains and the furnace needed a humidifier. Cost was excessive. Especially this time of year.

I think the property was nice and the theme was interesting, i think my 1 compliant would be how thin the walls are...you could hear a lot from the people above and beside us. Wasnt as quiet as we would have liked or use to from other facilities

My husband and I enjoyed a short visit to Frankenmuth and wanted to stay in town. The Marv Herzog Hotel provided everything we wanted...clean and comfortable room with a wonderful view overlooking the river, satisfying breakfast buffet, and walkable location. An extra treat was the afternoon snack bar. The staff all were wonderful throughout our stay. We totally enjoyed our time at the Marv Herzog Hotel!

Very pleased with this hotel
I had a wonderful stay! The staff was very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. I had a room with a balcony and view of the river, which was nice. The bathroom was spacious and the shower/tub had the convenience of body wash, shampoo, & conditioner dispensers and a showerhead with a gentle spray. The breakfast was delicious - scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, potatoes, sausage, waffles, cereal, toast, juices and more. And this point may not mean much to many, but the gravy was country style without meat (a vegetarian's dream!) Everything was hot and tasty, and kept fresh and full. The complimentary beverages and snacks in the evening was enjoyable as well. The location is fantastic, as it is close to so many shops, restaurants, and places of interest. I drove very little during my stay. It is also interesting to walk around the main level of the hotel, and look at all of the Marv Herzog memorabilia. I would certainly stay here again, and highly recommend it.

Frankenmuth Friendly
This hotel is small in stature, but big on comfort. If you didn't know, it's a Drury Inn cousin, so theres the evening social hour(s) with free beer or wine + generous snack platter:) Smack dab in center of town, so walking around town is convenient. Park your car under cover in their basement garage, and enjoy Frankenmuth on foot!

Sugar beet harvest = No sleep
Sugar beet Harvest = No sleep. Big loud trucks all night long.The hotel is very close to tge road. Never imagined that would be an issue in this small adorable town. Do not book any rooms in the front of the hotel. I let them know it wasnt a good stay. Tony doesn't care about how your stay is. He said next time book a room in the back of the hotel.There were only 14 rooms booked in the whole hotel...They shouldn't have put anyone in the lower front rooms at least During the sugar beet harvesting.
