Hotels in Frankfurt am Main Süd

"NO FREE SHUTTLE TO THE AIRPORT! The Hotels dot Com website clearly states that the Hampton Inn offers free shuttles to the Frankfurt Airport Terminals. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that they haven't been offering shuttles for over a year. The receptionist dutifully noted the site when I showed her the listing on the site and said she would let someone know. She was obviously embarrassed and offered to let me park the rental car in their garage for a few hours. (The parking is 34 Euros for the stay.) We ended up taking an UBER to both Terminals 1 and 2 which cost us about 20 Euros. There are plenty of taxis as well. Both arrive fast. I returned my rental car the day before our departure and walked about 12 minutes from Terminal 2 to the Hotel. It's manageable on foot if you only have a backpack or a carry on. The hotel itself is great. It's clean, the staff is friendly and there is a bar. The breakfast option is worth it. It's German Hampton not US plastic food! There are real rolls and jams and boiled eggs, fresh yoghurt and fruit etc. The shuttle would make it awesome."

"Room was amazing. Clean and modern. Staff were great. Breakfast was first class. Did not use wi-if because they wanted my email address. Why? I get enough junk email. AC/Heat was not working but room was cool enough with window open. TV channels were all pixelated so couldn’t watch anything."

"The room with the sofa bed was very spacious, it can easily fit 4 adults. The sofa bed was already out and done (queen size) and was very comfortable, it felt like a regular bed and I loved the fact that I did not have to set it up. There is a "Rewe" grocery store next to the hotel and was convenient for food and toiletries. Lot's of taxis up front in the AM so it's easy to get back to the airport but you could also get the S-Bahn (S8/S9) from Gateway Gardens station. I also saw lots of restaurants around the property. "

"An excellent value with good amenities. I only used the room and the breakfast area, but both were modern, clean, and well equipped. The breakfast was ok, nothing special, with very few really healthy choices, and you pay separately for it. The location can't be beat for a pre-flight night, as I used it. If you're energetic, it takes about 30-40 minutes to walk there from the Fernbahnhof at Frankfurt Flughafen, but it would be quicker to take a terminal shuttle to Terminal 2 and walk the rest of the way on the streets. "
