The actual hotel was great and the staff were very friendly. Would recommend if you’re just passing through and looking for cheap clean accomodation close to the station but the area is quite rough so wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay

Postive - all staff was fantastic. Bathroom was clean. Negative - beyond the lobby, the hotel is austere to say the least. No amenities in the bathroom; no art on the walls in the hall or room; no phone in the room; no toaster in the breakfast area. Almost institutional. Also, I booked a FLEMING'S hotel via expedia, not Motel One. I would not have selected to stay at a hotel called MOTEL ONE

Room was clean and tidy, no kettle or fridge but still good enough for a few nights away. Hotel was under major construction on 4-5 floors and the lobby, so no drink facilities there either and some noise from workmen from 8-9am, so may have been nice to know this in advance, should be nice when it’s finished and staff polite and friendly.
