"Very poor communication. Was difficult to contact anyone. They do not respond through Expedia messages, and one of the 2 phone numbers on their website do not work. We only had 3 towels in the room for 4 people. After calling to ask for another we were told no, our 6 year old son was too young to get a towel. Apparently he doesn't need to bathe? There are only 2 plates in the kitchen, so we couldn't all eat there without buying disposable plates. So don't plan to use the kitchen, which kind of defeats the purpose. Overall could have been a good place, but I am pretty frustrated by the communication and lack of provisions for more than 2 people."

"All was great but the most important part and the reason we booked this hotel was the prior/onsen. When we checked in and stayed for 3 days the facility was closed and hopping they would compensate us by sending us to a local onsen on their expenses. They should have a back up plan if these unforeseen events occur. I gave them 3 stars over all."

"Staff were really excellent - super helpful. Location was a bit outside of the main city centre but the hotel runs free shuttles to/from the city centre on an hourly bases. There is car parking available for a fee. Hotel and room looks a bit dated but has a great view of Sakurajima. Onsen is smaller than what can be seen in the pictures - view of Sakurajima from the bath is unfortunately blocked for privacy reasons. "
