"We had a lovely stay here but not without issues. The place itself is lovely, the staff were great and very welcoming. We opted to go for the premium room with the outdoor shower however on arrival we had a loud and leaky AC unit. We spoke to the team and they were unable to get spare parts to fix it because of independence day which was incredibly annoying as all night it rattled and droned. "We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The manager Chandana Lakmal and the rest of the staff were attentive to our every need, setting us up with transport to and from Colombo as well as tickets for the ongoing Test match. Everyone was incredibly kind without ever coming off as obsequious. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the property was simply gorgeous - an oasis of utter calm amidst the Galle hubbub. It is well located in that one can walk to the historic Fort area in 20 minutes. Definitely our first port of call at any future trips!"

"Staff were lovely, the breakfast was exceptional and location perfect. The beds were comfortable. We had a family room so no window to the outside apart from a small window looking over the foyer and the climb to the second bed very steep. Unfortunately there was no hot water and the information provided was that it would not be repaired for several days and applied to the whole property. Staff seemed unconcerned when we complained and a partial refund (about 1/5 of room cost) was provided. Fortunately we had only booked 2 nights but other than hot water it was lovely."
