The hotel is walking distance to the shopping area of Gatlinburg, yet at a very quiet location. The staff are very polite and efficient. The property is new and in excellent shape.

clean facility and friendly staff rank high with this facility. It is consistent with both qualities on my 4th stay. The convenience of being able to walk for shopping and places to eat is a plus for this location. However, I do have to say that the room TV does not pick up stations very well so I don't know if they satellite "free" airwaves or just don't pay a cable bill as most of the channels had "no signal". So if TV is important for you when you have to be in your room, you may want to question their cable connection for quality TV.

Everybody at the property was very professional. They are in the middle of some renovations but everything was still very clean and organized. The only thing I didn’t like was we book for a party of five and there were only enough towels for a party of two, when I asked for towels I was given only dry towels and no face towels due to them being out.

This property is nice but the staff make it great. The hotel is in renovations at the moment so there is a lot of work being done all around the property, but they appear to work fast and it did not cause any major inconvenience. My only issues were minor things like the indoor pool was very cold and the hot tub was out of order. Overall it is a good hotel and we had a pleasant experience.

The ladies working the front desk were Awesome. That being said...I reserved the King suite for my Fiance and I...a week and a half or better in advance, only to show up on check in date to find out that they didn't have my room available due to having the hallway carpet removed and replaced. Not once did I receive an email from the Hotel or Expedia about any of this! So we were told that the only option was a double Full size bedroom. The beds were to small for us to really even sleep side by side! The room was not a Suite...and yet I was told the price of it was $40 more than what Expedia had said I owed taxes and all for the King suite. I also called prior to showing up to make sure the Hot tub was open and running this time of year...was told YES...showed up...room not available...and the hot tub was broken as well. The King suite and hot tub were the only 2 reasons we chose the Marriott. Big thumbs down on the behalf of both Of your companies for lack of Communication...as well as putting a damper on our very rare kid-free "Vacation".

Hidden fee's. Lots of hidden fee's. 116 dollars a night for two nights and our ending total was 409.00. Breakfast for two was 60 dollars and we watched them heat it in the microwave. The room was ok...... and clean....that's a positive.

The internet wasn't working! It is hard to live without wifi in the world today and in the mountain area. I have no idea how the hotel managed to not have internet for the entire day. The bathroom's exhaust wasn't working. The staff at the desk didn't care to even talk properly. There are better hotels in the area at the same rate/better! Pick those.

Seems Marriott bought into the touristy - must pay for everything part of Gatlinburg. No Wi-Fi. Must pay for breakfast - even as simple as a banana or orange juice. Refused to serve a 61 yo a drink at bar without ID. (After a day of snow sports - just too tired to go back to room). A 61 yo - really? Just didn’t seem like the customer was a focus. have been disappointed a few times lately with Marriott which, historically, was reputable.

This Hotel Needs a Facelift
The room was in need of a facelift. The cabinets were all well worn. The sink was very slow to drain. The towels were all at the end of their lives. On the last night, the seal on the bottom of th flushing mechanism inside the toilet tank came loose due to age. The toilet would not flush. It was too late to call maintenance, as they would have had to replace the whole piece. So, we had to manually add water to the tank after relaying the seal to flush it each time. I called the front desk early the last morning to report it, as they would need to do the plumbing repair before the next renters arrived. I was surprised that not discount was offered for the inconvenience.

Nothing Special. Overall, the hotel is updated and clean. The rooms are pretty nice. The location is central and a 3-7 minute walk to the main street in Gatlinburg. But there are issues. Lobby and bistro furniture are worn down, like they've seen a lot of butts and not a lot of care. Staff seems uninterested in truly great service. More interested in making customer stop talking. Quickest path to that outcome was chosen. It results in average service and awkward moments where you have to ask people to do their jobs. That is a bad feeling on vacation. Breakfast voucher is misleading at best; a scam at worst. $27 for breakfast for two via Expedia, but you only get to choose $20 worth of items from the bistro, then have to pay for the rest. Hotel says this is a problem with Expedia, but how does that help me, the customer who has already wasted their money? I've had better options at a free continental breakfast in a Bergen NJ Inn across from a junk yard. I ordered beers at the bar. The same beer cost different amounts at different times of the day and there was no happy hour, so it was just whatever the bartender felt like charging. The beds were very firm and uncomfortable. The pillows were the worst pillows I've slept on in maybe a decade of staying at hotels; & some of those hotels were much "worse" than Marriott, yet - somehow they had better pillows? Summary? The amenities, quality, & service are substandard and the high cost is not justified. AVOID.
