"We had a wonderful stay. The staff was amazing. They accommodated out late check in and vegan made special a vegan breakfast fit for a queen. You won't be staying in the castle but in the building they have right beside. The area is quite peaceful. Very German ! "

"I recently stayed at Hotel Adler in Rudolstadt and was impressed by its unbeatable location—right in the city center, just steps from the main square, the train station, and the stunning baroque Heidecksburg Castle. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the style of the period while still offering modern comfort. There is parking available, which is a great convenience if you’re traveling by car. One downside is that the rooms are not air-conditioned, which can be a bit uncomfortable in hot weather. However, given the age and style of the building, it’s understandable and didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, though they speak only German, which might be a bit challenging for non-German speakers. As for breakfast, it’s fairly basic—not outstanding, but perfectly adequate to start the day. "The checkin was really unprofessional, nothing was prepared, all data had to be filled out again on paper, the staff was absolutely not welcoming. They did not even inform me about a 25 EUR early checkin fee upfront. They gave me a room right above the smoking area. It smelled and was noisy. At the checkout they claimed I had breakfast. Never did and never ordered it. The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly at all. Not what I expected at this house. Poor!"
