This was both a great stay and an awful stay. First and foremost, Fraser is both in a great location in Old Town, and the rooms are small apartments with plenty of room and amenities. The only critique is the very poorly equipped gym. The closest local gym is nice but very expensive for a day pass. The breakfast is also basic but very good. And, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Where Fraser failed was that during my 2nd night of a weeklong stay, a construction crew began a very loud demolition effort on the building across from my room window. The front desk staff said they couldn't do anything, and that their rooms on the other side of the hotel weren't clean. Thus, I had a completely sleepless night. They did move me the next day, but upon checkout, I was shocked that they made no accommodation to my bill or any other effort to 'make it right.'
