Loved the convenience of being so close to the main metro and train station and only a short walk to the old city. Although they were clean, we were not so keen on carpeted floors.

The building itself is older, the elevator antique... But the room was large, clean and plain. Very quiet, we faced the back where there is no traffic. Nice young man gave us a kettle and mugs so we could make tea and coffee in our room. Great location to walk all over Geneva and 5 minutes from the train station.

I would think more of it if i did not just rent a hotel in lausanne and one in milan that was the same price and much better. Still this place is fine. One block from bus station and train station. Right between them. Its raining this week so i didnt get to see much around the area. All food was twice what it should cost. Tv here was annoying. Nine out of every channels werent paid for by hotel. You spend forever hitting the channel buttons. Bath was tiny. Quiet room not on street side. Heater wasnt functioning. Liquid soap. Id save my money and stay here if i was you.

Still satisfied.
The design of hotel was like in the 70s. Breakfast simple yet happy with the spread. Love the lift though, very unique. The hotel was unique in its own way. Location was good. Staff was really very helpful. It would be good if there was a fridge in the room.

Just for staying a night is ok
Close to everything, the centre, old town, the fountain. Hotel staff is really healthful with tips to the surroundings visiting spots. The room is tired. Windows are sound proof. Though it’s first floor facing the busy Main Street but closed windows could sleep well. But no ventilations, no air conditioner.

Worth considering
Hotel Lido is perfectly placed to visit all of Geneva, the staff are fantastic, we arrived early and left our luggage and when we returned it had been delivered to our room. Yes the decor is a little tired but it was very clean my only criticism was the fan they gave us didn’t cover the whole room as the were very little plug sockets, the other point is no communal atea go to the Britannia 2 mins away can’t comment on breakfast as we didn’t have any..Overall definitely consider the Lido for your visit you won’t be disappointed.

Comfortable and inexpensive place in the heart of
The apartment is well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom amenities and water pressure were great, the bed was comfortable. The living room is spacious and the balcony offers nice view to the hill. The decor is a bit dated, from the early 90s, but everything works wrll. The area is 3 blocks away from Concordia University and one block from Rue St Catherine with many ethnic restaurants and cafes. There is a metro station (Atwater) nearby and a nice shopping mall.

We were only in Geneva for a few days and Hotel Lido worked well for us. We traveled to Geneva by bus and the hotel was only a 4-minute walk from the station. The room was clean, the staff helpful and friendly. I do not know if some rooms have an air conditioner. Ours did not. Since we were there in early September it wasn't that bad. We were very close to many restaurants and cafes. The public transportation system is great, and free with the hotel's transportation card. It was easy to get to all the destinations we had wanted to visit.

Comfortable and affordable in an excellent location near the station. It’s not got frills but it does a really good job. It doesn’t have Aircon but they were obliging with a fan and that was totally fine. A really good budget option.

Wifi cut out in our room on our 2nd of 2 nights and the situation didn't get fixed even when we told the front desk about it (the lobby still had wifi). That was literally the only downside - everything else about it was great. The location can't be beat, the beds were super comfortable. It was quite a basic room, but for the price, it was great. Our room was super quiet (facing the back courtyard).

Hot and Uncomfortable in Geneva!
Room was on the very busy street with no A/C (we were told that only 4 and 5 Star hotels are allowed to have A/C in Switzerland) so we had to keep the one window open which meant constant loud traffic, sirens, people yelling, etc. the location of the hotel was fantastic (very close to lakefront, shopping, restaurants) and the Staff was very nice, but really uncomfortable the whole stay.

Nice friendly staff,good value for money and the location is 5 minutes from the station. They give you free travel passes too,if you are travelling on a budget then this is a great place to stay.

We stayed one night at Hotel Lido, and it was really good. The staff were incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable, the room was clean, and the location was exactly what we wanted. It is an older hotel, but that added some personality to the stay.

This hotel is basic yet met all my needs. Very central.....,,, literally 60 seconds walk to the train station The staff at the hotel gave me free travel pass for the duration of my stay to use on trains, trams and buses The staff were always helpful and always smiling Gave me a map and showed me places of interest and how to get there I would definitely recommend this hotel 100% Due to its location and centrality, you don’t feel you are abroad as you can get anywhere without asking anyone for direction The only downside was the noise from the kitchen first thing in the morning as I was on the first floor and my room was right next to the kitchen Also if you you a lot of shower gel, you may want to ask for extra as they only provide a tiny bit 😃 Other than that, overall very impressive 👍👍

Pefect for our very short stay in Geneva.
Outstanding, Our train ended up being over an hour late. Being in an unfamiliar country in a large town at 11:00 PM could be unnerving. But many people were still out and the Lido Hotel is easy walking distance from the train station. The short walk was well lit and safe feeling even after 11:00 PM at night. The night manager had everything ready for us. Very informative and friendly. Gave us a map and marked out several things to see near by that we could see the next day in the short amount of time we were going to be there. Including a free public transportation pass. Next morning, they held our bags until we were ready to reboard the train to Paris that afternoon. Overall a great experience.

Budget hotel clean and basic
This hotel is actually nice, clean room and shower. Stayed during winter and it is actually cozy and warm. No AC but if in case you feel too warm just crack open the window which I did. I didnt hear street noise on my side of the building. Cute small elevator good for two people with regular size luggage but this is common in european hotels, i love it. A couple of tips: bring shampoo conditioner and soap specially if you need a lot because it is not provided or I guess i didnt ask the front desk. Also bring bottle water in case you get thirsty in the middle of the night. There is Migros grocery store in the train station where you can buy stuff before you check in. It is a 5min walk from the train station. Really close. Mcdonald’s is expensive so if you are arriving late at night get food like pastries or takeaway food from where you are coming from or you can buy falafel or doner from across the street thats open late anod price is ok. Good cheap breakfast is pastry shops by the underground shopping area around the corner next to Mcdonald’s. 5 euros for a croissant and coffee. Haven’t tried breakfast at the hotel. Summary, the hotel is basic if you need a cheap clean hotel to stay at and location is great. Front desk staff is great and night porter Richard is amazing.

Great location!
This is a nice, clean and comfortable hotel very near the main train station. The neighborhood was safe and had a large variety of restaurants to choose from. It was also within walking distance of the old town. I couldn't think of a better location. The building is a little old, but the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There is an elevator, which is always a blessing to find in European boutique hotels. It's on a major street and our room was on the front of the building, but the room remained quiet throughout the night...no problem with street noise. Would stay here again.
