"Pros - Gorgeous setting in a pretty garden with a lovely pool. Very peaceful with no traffic noise - great for light sleepers. If you need to head out sightseeing before breakfast time, they can provide a breakfast box. Our balcony was spacious and came with a drying rack which came in really handy. Staff are helpful. The bed only has sheets but if you request a blanket they provide one straight away. And it’s just a minute’s walk to the beach, and surrounded by cafes, laundry services and beauty therapy spas. Cons - We booked a standard twin room on Expedia 11 months in advance, and although the booking conditions stated a twin room wasn’t guaranteed, we were disappointed that with such a long booking period the hotel didn’t have any twins available. I tried to get a rollaway bed instead, as the Expedia advertisement said the room came with rollaway/extra beds for free, but the hotel said there was a charge for them. The Expedia ad also said the room had a minibar and electric kettle, but it did not. I don’t know if this is Expedia’s error or the hotel’s, but I mention it so people who do need a minibar, kettle or rollaway bed have realistic expectations. There was also a small hole in the door to the balcony which I stuffed with toilet paper so mosquitos couldn’t get in - that worked well, so if you get the same room as us you should try that."

"This was my favorite stay in Bali. The location is secure and property well maintained. The check in was seamless , they come to your villa and check you in, there is lots of great onsite amenities , gym, Resturant . The rooms are beautiful and spacious and lived the overall design. The pool is well maintained and perfect depth. This villa is perfect for a few days or a few months for a family or group of friends ."

"The rooms are lovely… however, the curtains are paper thin and allow all the glaring garden lighting coming through curtains. The light into the room is unacceptable. It is an easy fix, but management didn’t bother talking to me. Instead it went through the front desk. Do your job management. You have a lovely hotel. Fix the lighting and curtains.."

"Askari was an absolutely tranquil retreat. The courtesy and kindness of the staff is immediately evident upon arrival. Throughout the resort from housekeeping, restaurant staff and groundskeepers, everyone was always pleasant. They always made an effort to greet you by name. The atmosphere of the resort is magical. The sound of water everywhere is so peaceful. The food was delicious. If you’re looking for a peaceful and tranquil retreat, I would absolutely recommend Askari."

"Our stay at Padma Resort Ubud was exceptional, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia. One of the biggest standouts was the food. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered probably the best diversity of cuisines I have experienced at any hotel in the world. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Fire & Feast experience, which included an incredible platter with five different proteins, sides, sauces, soup, salad, and gelato. There is also so much to do within the resort. We enjoyed the hike to the bamboo bridge, and the hotel offers numerous complimentary activities, including archery, golf, animal feeding, and fishing. The swimming pool and fitness center were also excellent, and I appreciated being able to maintain my daily exercise routine. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the service was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was kind, friendly, and hospitable, and we appreciated the welcome drinks upon arrival. The location is also convenient for exploring Ubud and the surrounding attractions. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and feel this resort deserves even more recognition. With stronger marketing, I think Padma Resort Ubud could easily become an even more well-known destination. We would absolutely stay here again."

We enjoyed the spa, gym, a terrace villa (which we highly recommend), a special Indonesian dinner night, the breakfast, floating breakfast and room service. Everything was exceptional.
