The Bay Club at Anahita

The Bay Club at Anahita

10/10 Excellent
"The Bay Club was a wonderful resort in a really convenient location. We went as a family of 4 with two young kids 9 and 11 years old, and everyone loved it. We stayed in a 3 bed ocean view ground floor appartment which felt like home away from home. We were full board and stayed for two weeks, the food was delicious, and the portions were big. The resort had all the amenieties you could ever want and a beach house that had complimentary water sports like pedalo, paddle board, kayak etc. There was a free shuttle boat that took you to Ile aux Cerfs Island every 30 mins (beautiful beach and clear water). The best thing about the resort was the staff, everyone from the buggy drivers to the kitchen staff, kids club team, cleaning crew, main reception staff, pool staff, beach hut guys and shuttle boat driver were absolutely wonderfull, they really made our 20th wedding anniversary trip one to remember. I don't have enough words to thank them all, but I must thank the main reception staff for helping us adapt our booking to make us more comfortable (thank you), no request was too difficult for the staff, they always tried to find a way to help. Also Mr Eddie in the main restaurant was outstanding and will forever be remembered by our family. He was so lovely , kind , friendly and helpful, and he and lots of other staff made the resort feel like a family. Also our friend from Argentina who made the pizzas was supper nice and made amazing pizzas. Thank you to all the staff."

"My stay at SALT of Palmar was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. The hotel has a great location with ocean views right from the bed. The food was amazing, breakfast, lunch, and dinner all had lots of variety. The rooftop bar was a perfect spot to relax. Thank you again, I highly recommend this place to travellers."

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius

8/10 Good
"Overall the Westin Turtle is a perfectly good option to consider if you just want somewhere to sit and bathe in the sun. The beach area is clean with plenty of sand but the best area's to swim in the sea as via the area given over to another hotel - nothing stopping you using it but sunbeds etc are not for Westin customers. Plenty to do whilst on site with various events laid out during the day to make things fun. All of the staff were attentive and helpful but special shout out goes to Vivek, Mafoozah and Jeevan who made our stay very comfortable. We visited in September and that appears to be considered a quiet month so certain restaurants and options are not running, these were not told to us at any point, we just discovered it by chance. We decided to eat outside of the resort on most nights - a personal choice over anything wrong - but when we cannot fault the quality of the food or the service. I don't know how Westin compares to other similar hotel but for us it met our expectations and allowed us to have a stress free holiday."

LUX* Grand Gaube

LUX* Grand Gaube

10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful 6-day stay at LUX* Grand Gaube, and what stood out most was the exceptional level of service. The staff were consistently respectful, attentive and genuinely willing to go beyond what was expected to make our stay special. The resort manager made a huge difference to our experience. We had an issue with our booking on arrival, but he did far more than simply resolve it. He made sure throughout our stay that we felt looked after and valued, including arranging a beautiful exclusive dinner on the beach. The food was another highlight. Over six days, the menus never felt repetitive and there was always something new to try. Unlike many all-inclusive resorts where food is simply left out in large trays, there was a chef at almost every counter ensuring dishes were fresh, hot and properly presented. The chefs were also incredibly accommodating and often offered to prepare food outside the menu, while the bar staff happily tailored drinks to our tastes. The all-inclusive offering was very extensive, with around 80–90% of the menu being part of the inclusion. There were also many thoughtful touches throughout the resort, such as free sunscreen stations, brushes to remove sand after the beach, and beautifully designed Instagrammable spots. Despite a difficult start with the booking, the way the wider team handled everything turned our stay into a genuinely memorable experience. Highly recommended and must visit."
