"Each room has a balcony that looks over the water . It is beautiful and you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. We did have a couple of issues- the chairs on our deck were both broken but they replaced them right away. There is no elevator to the upstairs rooms. We carried our bags upstairs but they do offer to carry them for you. Anyone with difficulty going up and down stairs needs to stay on the entry level floor (floor2)."

"We picked this spot for location, and because it has dog friendly rooms, and did expect it to be basic for the room. It was basic but met our needs. I appreciated the fridge and microwave and heat pump since it was so warm outside. The one improvement would be the towels, they were thin, so thin that when I dried my back in my normal way, it tore the edge of the towel."

"The Montague Rose Inn run by Zainub and Ben Faulkner-Malik is an absolute gem. The house is a gracious and welcoming treasure. Zainub and Ben saw to our every need and treated our two golden retrievers as valued guests. They have a charming cafe on site for breakfast smoothies and snacks. The Inn is two short blocks from Water Street (the main downtown)and you're at the seaside with glorious views, parks, lighthouses, and hikes. The neighborhood is wonderful for walking. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back. Also the town of St. Andrews is unexpectedly beautiful and charming. One of the best places that we have stayed."
