Great Yeldham Holidays

The food is generic - straight from the freezer variety, with menu descriptions that are overly optimistic. For example the 'skin still on fries' were micro-slim with only one of 50 having anything approaching skin on a side - and clearly straight from the oven. Why can't a large, busy and above averagely expensive hotel have a real kitchen, with real chefs working in it to produce real good food? Change your business model and clients will appreciate it. And to describe breakfast as 'complimentary' is as insulting to a guest's intelligence as it is untrue - of course we pay for it as part of our fee for staying, it is in no way free. Just say it's included as part of the price. Apart from that, the bed was lumpy and the pillows too hard. But, the staff were really lovely.

We loved it here, had a a good couple of nights with friends. Beautiful apartment, amazing mattresses and pillows, very quiet environment. The pool wasn’t open and some work was happening but you can tell it’s going to look amazing once they put it all together and summer prep work is expected at this time of year. Kara was fab and we met a super helpful housekeeper who is doing a degree who was a literal walking tourist information centre. Great atmosphere all round .

This was a reasonably priced and fairly comfortable option. Staff were generally very helpful and exceptionally polite. However, on our arrival after being seated in the brasserie, we had to wait a long time and eventually find someone, to place our order. We liked our room with balcony, and the parkland environment. However, it was impossible to use the bathroom during the night without waking the other occupant because of light spillage. As a suggestion it would be good for the hotel to work with the university management to develop a safe pedestrian route to the bus stops at South Courts - the footpath runs out at the car parks and we found we had to walk on the road to progress towards the bus stop. This would be completely unmanageable for someone in a wheelchair. There was a wedding going on during our stay and as the wedding party were using the enclosed garden space, we weren't sure if we could sit there.

Another fab weekend at our favourite spot!

Great bed, plenty of pillows, great tub. Desperately need WiFi extenders, extremely noisy road. Best fish and chips I had in all of England and Wales.
