The hotel only has three bedrooms and feels wonderfully unique. It has large stately rooms and the breakfast is out of this world. We enjoyed 3 nights here whilst exploring Syros. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a very special place to stay.

Scam: 3 star b&b marketed as 5 star boutique
The good point is the house is a nice Syran villa and well located. The bad is all the rest. Service was terrible with one old man as the staff, that didn’t make an effort at hiding he was annoyed with us being there (only guests on property). When we got there instead of helping my girlfriend with the heavy luggage he reached for the smallest bag and left her with the big one. He also calmly sat in the living room watching tv the whole day as the home’s owner. The entrance of the property (downstairs unit) was incredibly messy and not ready for guest They served us the leftovers from the first day for following breakfast. Towels were Zara home and dirty, no robe, reusable crappy slippers. Room had no windows except for one on a 60cm internal lightwell with the bathroom from the other room across the way at arms reach. Room so small you couldn’t open your bag and closet door would slam in bed and not open. On day of check out there was a ferry strike and we were stuck on the island, regardless of that the man frantically urged us out of the property commencing 9am, scared we might stay the extra night. This is no 5 star property, it’s a room for rent in skmeone’s House and someone not very acquainted with 5 star service either. What’s worse is that we are extremely kind and reserved guests that keep their room very clean, we smile, continuously thank and act kind with staff as we travel a lot. Absolute nightmare, would deserve 3 stars and the according price tag.

Bad experience
The hotel is located up a very steep hill. It is renovated to death. The room is tiny and dark. Can’t keep the shutters open because then everyone on the street can see in. But, the breakfast was terrific.

we are sorry that you did'nt enjoy your stay in our small boutique hotel. The hotel is an HISTORICAL HOUSE of Syros and protected by the Goverment . We are in Vaporia area which is the most famous and interesting area in the center of the town. Ermoupolis is buildind in two hills and yes has a little walk but all the HISTORICAL TOWNS like Ermoupolis is walking. Your room has a big window at the road and nobody can see inside just we are in one floor higher than the steet. maybe you didn't understand wich town and wich type of hotel you choose.

The owner, Raina, is the consummate host. She takes a personal interest in each guest to insure that they are comfortable and satisfied with their stay. The boutique hotel was at one time her personal residence, and her pride in the premises is evident. It is a beautifully appointed hotel.

Living the Ermoupolis life
This hotel allows a step back in time to an authentic living experience in Ermoupolis. The owner could not have been more helpful and informative and very proud of her establishment.

Fabulous location in heritage accomodation
Quality hotel in a good location in the centre of Ermoupolis, Syros. The host, Rania, was friendly and informative, and she welcomed us with a cool drink and sweets. She gave great recommendations of restaurants and beaches. The whole property was beautiful and very clean. We stayed in the basement apartment which was enormous, with a sitting room and kitchenette as well as a bedroom. It was very well fitted out and had a lovely bathroom. I have seen some comments online about this apartment not being what they expected - I have to say that I cannot understand that as it is exactly what the online photos show. We were very comfortable there and would certainly stay again. Perhaps my only other comment is that the streets of Syros are steep. So on arrival you may want to take a taxi with your luggage rather than pull it along the cobbled roads. At other times walking around is great. Syros itself was lovely and worth a visit. Unfortunately we only had 2 nights, but will return.

Amazing place to stay and probably the best place we stayed during our three week trip in Greece. Syros is an adorable island and the Arhontiko is centrally located in Ermoupolis--only a 5-minute walking distance to Vaporia and the city beach ;). But, the real star of our stay was Rania, who made sure everything worked perfectly and helped us plan our days.

Wonderful place with a couple of "buts"
Great location close to the center, very helpful hostess with excellent suggestions for things to do, and she made reservations for us wherever necessary. The building was lovely, however when we booked our trip the only available room was the basement, which did not really live up to the high standard and beauty of the rest of the rooms. We were aware of this, being informed in advance, but it's still good to know that the basement does not offer the luxury of the rest of the rooms, albeit quite a bit larger. No AC in the building (which we also knew in advance), which was compensated with a bunch of pretty noisy fans, at least in our room. All in all a pleasant experience, but if there is a next time we will not book the basement.

Accueil glacial par Rosa après 10 minutes d'attente devant la porte close. Check in réalisé en 10 secondes avec les clés dans la main gauche et des prospectus dans la main droite...Refus de nous faire visiter le haut de l'hôtel. Nous avons été hébergé dans la maison des hobbits au sous sol dans un appart en aveugle certe bien décoré et spacieux. On attend toujours une prestation d'hôtel 5 étoiles prévue avec peignoir et air conditionné....Hebergement surévalué

i am very sorry that you didint enjoy your stay with us. in our information we inform you that we have no 24 hours reception services. you arrived at the hotel at 5.30 at the afternoon and Roza at 6 oclock begin to work in another work and unfortunatelly i had no the opportunity to wellcome you. The time that you had arrive all the rooms at the hotel was full and the people are rested. This is the reason that Rosa INFORMED you that the tour inside the hotel and the verandas was better to make it next day with me that i have to inform you all the history of the house. Your apartment it is a totally seperate house, with its owen entrance. The apartment is a very big nice decorated apartment with its own entrance. it is NOTHING to do with the main house - hotel. You had a Veranda at the first floor that you had to use. The price for the apartment was special, three guests 150 euros and never we informed you that the apartment has air condition or romb towels. maybe you didint read carefully the details for the apartment and you comfused them with the information for the other rooms of the hotel that they had some higher prices. thanks
