Nice comfy room
Everything was great. Except two little things. They have no parking and you need to find parking on the street. Good luck when it’s summertime. Occasionally the sewer smell which is not their fault but the fault of the town. What they attend to it right away when there is the smell. Otherwise, a nice little boutique hotel located right on the water with a small balcony which is just perfect.

Charming property and one of the best parts is the view which is just spectacular, you can’t get any closer to the sea! The room and breakfast were nice and we had one meal in the restaurant which was lovely and had a great atmosphere. It’s located outside the main area of Rethymno but worth it for its charm and an easy taxi ride away!

Right on the sea
Amazing location right on the ocean with a small brown sand/stone beach to one side. Beach towels are supplied by the hotel. Although it’s a bit out of the old town, the local bus stop is across the road so it’s easy to get around. The room was very clean and the bed comfy. In our room the bed was in a loft reached by stairs. There is a small fridge, sink and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was included which was a fairly standard buffet. Staff were all friendly and helpful - overall an enjoyable stay.

The staff are the biggest asset of this hotel, they are extremely friendly, welcoming, and very open to building a raport that offers a huge benefit in making the most of your stay. Well worth the time to get to know them as they truly are a brilliant team. We highly appreciated everyone working there, but a special shoutout to Ilona and Aris for their diamond quality hospitality. The rooms were spotless, the food was absolutely gorgeous, the private beach was excellent to relax on (particularly after destroying our legs on the Somaria Gorge!). It is located fairly close to Old Town, but not too close so that it avoids the hussle and bussle! We would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Thank you Thallassa <3

Nice but general management and cleanliness poor
Nice hotel overall with lovely staff. Cleanliness let it down - when you pay for a sea view but they don't clean the windows. Also it suffers sea wash and there is usually too much sea weed around the restaurant that does not get cleaned before breakfast. Not a great location and no parking. The hotel has the potential to do much better since the rooms are modern and the staff are great - looks as though its let down from a general management perspective

Thank you very much for your review! As you can see, it was very bad weather and it was impossible to clean the windows, as within a few minutes the exact same thing happened again. The same thing happens in the restaurant, as during the night there were big waves. I'm very sorry that you thought we had given up because we work hard, but these are the disadvantages of being right on the sea, the weather is unpredictable! We hope you come back to make sure it was not because we did not want to clean, but because of the weathar.

Helpful staff, especially when arriving late. Breakfast terrace/ restaurant overlooking sea. Tiny beach but was ok in Oct. Our bedroom noisy as over restaurant. Access to town easy though a roadside walk ~20mins.

On a busy road , but parking taken care of. When walking in a oasis lovely large rooms good breakfast and Friendly staff. Small pool but the rest well makes up for it.

Great Boutique Hotel
There were 4 couples staying here as part of a trip to Greece and Italy. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant is excellent. Eating dinner out on the terrace overlooking the sea.

The setting is amazing, although it’s not easily walkable. The beach is just OK. I just never felt welcome. It was kind of like living in Stepford.

We had the most amazing time there! Our room facing the ocean was beautiful and bright, and the free standing bath tub was great. The staff was super friendly, and even helped us reorganize our travel plans when we couldn't rent a car (note to US travelers: you will need an IDP - International Driver's Permit - for Greece). Food in the restaurant was also great. Super highly recommended!

The property was a unique hotel situated on the beachfront with great service from their staff and owners. The rooms were very well styled and featured all the great touches for a pleasant stay! The restaurant had great food and an unbeatable view too!

We loved Thalassa. Our room was amazing with for huge tall windows overlooking the ocean. You can be sure the rooms meet our exceed the photos on the website, no disappointments. Right from the warm welcome at reception to check out the staff treated us well, were always accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The setting is beautiful as it is right on the ocean and the walk into rethymno old Town was not difficult. We didn't end up ever taking the bus but it runs right past the hotel so very convenient if you didn't feel like walking.

Amazing hotel!! This hotel offers everything you will need, considering the time I went it was a little quiet but the hotel and staff were amazing! This place cannot be faulted. The rooms were amazing and were even better than the pictures and had all facilities. The staff are so welcoming and will help with anything you need. The restaurant has amazing food for breakfast, lunch or dinner! All staff are so efficient and very welcoming. This is honestly one of the best places to stay. Also the town centre is in walking distance and so everything is pretty close by you won't even need many taxis. Best place to go! i definitely will be returning again. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful property with a seaside view. Restaurant is excellent- wonderful food and service! One of our best meals in Crete. Would be nice if you could access the spa jacuzzi and sauna outside of spa hours. A little bit out of town but walkable!

Great stay!
Lovely hotel, tastefully decorated right on the sea front. Good service and great choice at breakfast. Half hour walk to the centre of town where there’s loads of choice of places to eat and drink for all budgets. No bars in immediate area to break up the walk back.

Where to start with this hotel... absolutely fantastic! From the time we checked in to the time we checked out we were looked after by every single staff member. The reception ladies were wonderful, the restaurant staff were wonderful, the food was beyond amazing and the room was spectacular! Clean to the highest of standards and they also did our laundry, washed dried folded and placed back back in our room. I even received a birthday cake as they noticed it was my birthday from my check in details. I would not hesitate in staying here again, we were very sad to leave. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Rethymno hotel. Welcome drinks and canapes on arrival, with amazing view of the sea. Classy, elegant décor. Large rooms, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable. Excellent location, quieter end of town. 15 minute walk into Old Town along a busy road. Delicious breakfast buffet. Fabulous food and sea view at the restaurant. Staff very attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Wonderful stay here. Highly recommend it to future guests to Rethymno. Free parking, wonderful staff and perfectly located on the water. And only a 15 minute walk to town. Exactly what we wanted for our one night in town.
