"The rooms/high-end cabins are beautiful and private very relaxing. The staff and food were excellent. The road into the resort are not unlike a lot of gravel roads in Costa Rica and should not deter you. If you love nature stay here. We did a birding tour with Denis he is very knowledgeable and very enjoyable to spend the morning with. We have been to Costa Rica as tourists 14 times this is a place to visit. "

"The staff was amazing! Like unbelievably amazing! Greeted at the dock, luggage taken care of, greeted with fresh watermelon juice, chef cooked such delicious meals (dessert included), housekeeping cleaned 2-3 times a day, cooper hooked us up with tours, everything was great and relaxing. 3 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to the national park, 5 minute walk to the village. "

"It’s a little but of work to get to mawamba, but once you’re there it’s quite pleasant. The pool area is A+ and the breakfast is too. The walk into town is easy and the number of places to get dinner is plentiful. Beware the birds are noisy but that’s nature at its best! "

"Room was available earlier than check in. It was a little on the small side, ok for two people with minimal luggage for a couple of days but we struggled for room as we had 6 items of luggage (this was part of a 6 week trip). We managed but a little more room would have been helpful. "

"We had a good stay here. The room was clean and spacious. It's very quiet and peaceful. The surrounding area is nice and we saw lots of birds. Breakfast was also good and the staff were friendly."
