It serves a purpose
I used this hotel for 1 night to make it easy to get to GuangZhou airport for an early flight. It was a late check in and early departure. Check in was ok once they had finished checking in a very large youth group. Payment was in advance so easy check ou. No evening food after 9pm. The shuttle bus to the airport is first come first serve basis - at 6am it was very busy and I was glad I got to the lobby 15 minutes early. 10 minute ride to the airport was easy but wasn’t very clear which terminal you arrived at first so be careful and pay attention. The hotel was basic but served its purpose.

Disappointing
As instructed I contacted the hotel the day before I was arriving to make sure they would pick me up but when I got to exit gate 20 there was no van to pick me up. I was trying to call the hotel but wasn't having any luck a young Chinese woman came up offering to help. Eventually the van arrived. Bless that woman. At best the hotel was a 2 star. The bed was about as hard as the carpet floor in my home. I got in the shower and the soap dispenser was empty so I had a soapless shower. I think the next time I'll pay a little more.

Free airport transfers, the highlight.
Clean spacious room, staff can't speak English, food in restaurant was not too good, restaurant staff kept asking me for money everytime I ordered something. It's good to get to airport easily.

Worst hotel you could stay at in Guangzhou. Any where you stay is better than this place. The hotel is filthy... So many cockroaches and different insects in the room... DO NOT STAY HERE... Worst experience.

I booked this hotel because the stars because I wanted a very good rest after a 20 hours flight form San Francisco. However, when I checked in, I was with two pieces of heavy luggage (total 50 lbs) and moved difficultly. Front desks firstly didn't greet and just did what they were doing in the computer and did not offer to help me out with my luggage. Room status is even worse!! Smell freaking horrible. I feel like the housekeeping did not even map the floor or the guests before me simply left the room super messy. Sofa was dirty and I didn't even want to put my stuff on it. This is like a big motel with some useless decoration.

Difficult to get to hotel - waited over 40 minutes, and asked two different airport employees to call the hotel 3 different times (twice they said they were "5 minutes away" - not!) but finally the minibus showed up. Hotel is 15 min drive from airport (in good traffic, 25 min in bad traffic) - in a slummy looking area. Doesn't look pleasant, was not encouraged to leave hotel at all. Room was very spacious and accommodating - toiletries were convenient such as toothpaste, slippers, shampoo, free water etc. Very few hotel employees speak English - this was a challenge. Called twice to order room service - hung up on during 1st time and 2nd time they said they do not offer room service! Went to front desk and they said they do! Don't order the roast duck - it was not enjoyable. Very cheap though Easy check in/check out process. Convenient one night stay to be close to airport for flight, I was comfortable and the room and surrounding was quiet. I would not stay here again due to the language barrier. I felt like an outsider and only two or three employees that I encountered spoke English.

The facilities staff hospitality was exactly like a two star hotel...there was nothing outstanding in service but informative.Food was ordinary.Luckily they provide hotel shuttle or we will be lost as the hotel is quite off the main road

There were cockroaches running around, internet was not working and water supply was down for the night. Staff was not friendly and not able to communicate in English. Not recommended.

I stayed at this hotel 1 time before, and will be back many times more. It is not the best location or easy access, but the airport shuttle solves all the problems. In the neighborhood, there were plenty of restaurants, most of them serve Hunan spicy food. The staff there are friendly and very helpful, the front desk helper even stored my allergy shot medication in the refrigerator over night for me. It's the best hotel near the airport.

Very good hotel for value
Even though it was one night, it felt like longer. The staff were very helpful and polite and the hotel itself was of a high standard. Food could do with some improving but overall a very pleasant experience.

Free Airport shuttle pick up, even though driver came late, my flight arrived late in the night and was just looking for a place for the night. Hotel close to the airport, clean, great breakfast and would definitely stay there again.

Simply, very close to the airport, professional wake up call and shuttle. free breakfast is just a yogurt drink and simple bun but it is ok for within 6-7hours stay. only the problem was SUPER HARD MATTRESS with no fluffy cushion top

ALL WAS GOOD EXCEPT 2 THINGS. NO ENGLISH SPEAKING STAFF AT THE RECEPTION AND THE OTHER WAS THAT I HAD TO WAIT SHUTTLE BUS 90 MINS. A PERSON SHOWED UP IN 50 MINS THEN MADE ME WAIT ANOTHER 40 MINS UNTIL BUS SHOWED UP WHILE IT TAKES MAXIMUM 30 MINS FROM HOTEL TO AIRPORT.

a simple stay and good price hotel
Had stop over to go to Shijiazhuang. But the wait for shuttle bus to hotel at the airport was very long due to misunderstanding conversation with the hotel ,Overall the stay was fine and staff were courteous. Shuttle bus was convenient to get from and to airport. Location was also fine and many chinese restaurant just a few walk and a shopping complex too.

Basic but ok
Only stayed for 1 night between flights. No fridge or safe, Check in staff spoke reasonable English. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is for Locals but we got by, only chopsticks I'm afraid. Got ripped off by cab from airport, make sure you use a proper metered cab, Hotel have regular bus service to the airport, I'm sure if you check before you leave home, they probably pick up from the airport.

Nice hotel but could not get wifi in my room.
I could not get wifi in my room which was disappointing - to use Receptions wifi I had to go to another building! The bed was quite hard but most in China seem to be. I have booked another 2 nights for next week so I will insist on a room that can I can connect to wifi. The neighbourhood was good and I ate great food - lots of choices. It was far away from everywhere but close to the airport so I was able to use the shuttle to get there (for free). The staff were OK but could have been more helpful.

One night stay is OK
I checked in for just one night stay. Apparently, they have a new computer systems in the operation. I experienced some delay during check-in. The room was clean. The internet connection at the room was fine. The breakfast buffet was something like what you would found at a 2 or 3 stars hotel. As for the neighborhood, there are plenty of restaurants outside the hotel. There's a supermarket and convenience store within 5mins walking. It's quite peaceful at night.

Overall for this hotel is OK. Convenient on travelling as shuttle bus was provided. But need to call the hotel in order for them to prepare a shuttle bus to pick you all at "Bai Yun" Airport Main Door Number "13". The only disadvantage for this hotel is some of the room have some weird smell, need improvement.

Great value, airport shuttle tricky
Stayed here after a late flight and early morning departure. I took the complimentary airport shuttle. You need to call for the shuttle and after calling I was directed to walk over to the departure area in a different part of the airport. The person on the phone tried, but didn't speak much English. I've stayed at a handful of airport low-cost hotels near Baiyun airport and this is the best so far as far as facilities. Very clean, updated, spacious room, comfortable bed. Check in was simple and no errors on my reservation. Great value.

We chose this hotel because of the free airport transfer, however, it took us more than an hour to be picked up all because of the hotel's inefficiency. Would have been better if the Hotel gives clear instruction to proceed to Gate 13 and pick up staff asks people when they arrive. Shuttle does not bear the hotels name in English and staff would not listen to people saying they have booking for the night even if you show your hotel confirmation. He will simply say, call the hotel again. No customer service at all. Breakfast is also poor, the choice and the quality, even the table setting. Guests are asked to occupy tables without linen on top, does not quickly clean the table after the guests is finished and has left. So the next guests will just have to live with it and quickly have whatever is offered, even eggs are terrible. Lights are also selectively turned on in the dining hall, so it's kind of dark in some areas. Find another hotel , don't mess your trip with this hotel.

Possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I put a DND sign out my door and they still came into our room every time! I've never encountered that in my many years of travelling. That's not right. The room itself was spacious, but dirty. I don't recommend walking on the carpet barefoot. Wifi was very spotty. You can only guarantee you'll get online if you were in the lobby. My room connection only worked the last night I was there (I was there for 4 nights). Felt ripped off since complimentary wifi was one of the reasons why I booked here. There's not much to do in this neighbourhood since it's brand new, so it's good for a one-night/transition stay only. There's a good northern food restaurant around the corner in the tiny strip just outside the hotel that makes a good dumpling and eggplant dish. There's also a supermarket at the very end of the strip that sells groceries.

Hotel management is not good as you would expect for a four star hotel. Toilet paper were not refilled. Complimentary bus was not well arranged to cope with early peak hours. We ended up paying a hotel security who offered to drive us to the airport for 50rmb.

The front desk staff took forever to find our booking at 2am and we had to check out at 7am! This hotel is good if you just want a place to sleep before an early morning flight and airport transfers...the mattress is rock hard though.The breakfast is more Chinese with very few western options. Overall, ok I guess

Good for overnight stay
The hotel is very clean but due to understaff service is close to nil. If you go to breakfast after 8 am you would not find much to eat. The coffee is cold and no one attended to it. Block D is detached from Block A there is no under covers walkway for you to access to access block D.

As there were bus loads of visitors, to the hotel, in the evening, I think I must be in the minority. First it took me 2 hours to find the #13 area of the airport where the hotel bus picks up people. Directions could have been more clear or better still, written into the online information the hotel gives out. The hotel restaurant was closed to non-group people like myself - as I was told. The staff had to have take-out brought in from another outside restaurant. As for baggage handling on/off the bus or at the hotel, be warned that you, the baggage owner, will have to handle it all by yourself. Finally, due to some language/communication, misunderstanding, I ended up in a smoking room even though I stated I wanted a non-smoking one.
