Confusing Elevators
The bed was hard as a rock and when I checked in I could not get the front desk person to speak to me in English he would only speak to my friend in Mandarin, even though at the end he spoke to me in English when he gave me my room key. So I had to ask one of the other front desk staff to assist in putting my deposit on my credit card and not taking the cash from my friend. Elevators were confusing because this building had two different lobbies. One for the hotel and one for the business side of building. e

A wear-down hotel without proper up-keeping. - we arrived past mid-night, the check-in process is okay except there is heavy smoking smell during the check-in process. - The non-smoking floor/room has smoking smell. - You can see the stinks on carpet. The overall feeling is 'not-clean' on multiple places of the room/bathroom. - This may be a drunk people's favorite hotel. Have to share the elevator with some drunk customers twice to take a 48 floor ride in my 3 nights stay. - Shower room slow water drain. Something good about it: - Located right on top of a subway station that you can take hotel elevator to negative 2nd floor to access subway. - Our room at 48th floor has a nice view around the area. - 7-eleven, McDonald and many local restaurants across the street.

Not clean at all, smells bad, and I will never go back to that hotel again and I know Expedia doesn’t care if I go to that hotel or not because if they do care, they wouldn’t advertise for that kind of place. But nice view

My room was on the 45th floor, initially a little stale as there had been smokers in the room although I had requested a no smoking room. Had to pay £100 deposit on arrival. Right next to one of the line 2 subway stations. Fifteen minute walk, in sweltering summer heat, to a local park and to a shopping centre. I was able to check in late at night with no problem. My rate did not include breakfast so cannot comment on that. Fridge, hair dryer and iron with ironing board in room, also a laundry service which I did not use.

I like the property because the is big and clean, they don't really have non smoking room. They have non smoking treatment instead but you can still smell it.

Very good location
If I go to Canton Fair again, I will stay in this hotel. I did not use Wifi at the hotel, but seem my brother does not like it. Breakfast is completely good. Staff, some are good, but some are not helpful. Room floor is not very clean , but the rest are ok. Elevator takes too long to wait.

Poor service, location is super good!
Bed sheet was terribly dirty when I checked into the room on 48 floor on my first day. And I called to change the sheet. Second day, I was told that both bed sheets were changed, but hair (not my hair) was found. Breakfast was fine but the restaurant was managed poorly. When I went to pick my food, my seat was occupied by others! Lifts were very slow too.

The room was quite spacious and comfortable, and I definitely enjoyed the large soaking tub after a long day of walking. The bed and bathroom were clean and neat. Be prepared for some stained carpet, though. The breakfast buffet was much better than at other hotels I've stayed at in the area. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Do not stay at this hotel. The worst ever. Rating of this hotel should be no more than a 4/10. Ordered a extra bed to for my room as I wanted a twin room. Hotel confirmed, arrived no extra bed, then scrambled and put a stretcher bed in the lounge. Slept on it and could not move the next day. Informed the manager as I then decided to sleep on a tiny couch. They came at 22h30 to colelct the bed back and woke us in the process. The manger confirmed that the stretcher bed was no good to sleep on and that he did not agreed that this bed was an option. The hotel confirmed the extra bed, no compensation. Breakfast terrible, no clean tables, no butter for bread and the staff just extremely rude. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Carpets filthy and we got bitten by flees.

Service and room facilities sucks ! Do not stay !
Hotel reception for check-in was unfriendly ! The shower drainage was terrible, every time after bathing the whole toilet is flooded with water. Have complained to the hotel front desk three times but still no improvement. I recommend do not stay at this hotel.

The overall location was great. Very close to subway and within walking distance from a variety of food and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. The only complaints I have is the dirty carpet and wifi that doesn't work. Also, the elevator is slow because the building consist of other offices so its shared with hotel guest. Overall I'd say it's a decent stay.

The Vertical City hotel is located in a good area and the Hotel improves every time I stay. The only thing that I would like added to this hotel is a fitness centre.

The location of the hotel is good, just being on top of the metro station (Changgang Station - Line 2, Exit E). Many cheap and nice eateries around the area. We stayed in a superior double room, which was quite spacious and clean. Breakfast was quite nice. The only downside was probably that the decoration was a bit worn-out. Time for reburbishment.

1) Location : The hotel sits just above the Changgang metro (exit E) so it is quite convenience to transport. 2) Room : The room is average like other typical 3 stars hotel 3) Bathroom : Water pressure is considerably LOW. Hot water ran out during shower everyday. 4) Staff: Staff is okay. They only know their job and nothing else, so dont ask them about where to eat, or what to do around the hotel coz they cant answer you. 5) Breakfast: Terrible. Orange Juice and ABF is the worst ever.

For stamdard room - the heater was not too good ..need to wait for the water to heatup b4 you could take a shower n the nedt person need to wait for anothet 15 mins . In Deluxe room the water heater are good

A hotel I do not mind to stay again
This hotel is conveniently located on top of Changgang Station (Line 8 and 2). We can get around the city easily via metro. Restaurants and street shopping are all over the place. We enjoy staying here.

Clean rooms in great location
Room is clean, spacious and located in a good location for shopping if you're going to jiangnanxi, shangxiajiu and Beijing road . There's a mrt or metro just on the basement of the hotel . It was a great stay at this hotel as the bed was comfy too . However , what's pulling the rating down is the attitude of the staffs. Impolite and assume things without double checking . I booked 3 rooms and upon check in , only 2 rooms were ready . So we told them that we'll get the key for another room when we're back from shopping . When we're back later in the late evening and ask for key for the remaining room , the lady staff said that already given the key when I check in with a rude tone of voice. When we ask if she's sure about it , then only she process and give us another key . Only two staffs that's nice . A lady with a star badge and a young guy with short hair . One thing to take note is that this building management doesn't allow you to enter the lift if you're carrying boxes even if you're a hotel guest . And have to use the staff lift which I find it weird .
