We liked the fact that Guimar was just an ordinary, quiet working town and not at all touristy. The locals we interacted with there were very friendly and helpful.

"The only issues I had were that there was a malfunctioning toilet flush, which meant I had to turn it off manually. Also the room was humid pand the air-conditioning did not seem to work. But opening the window helped a lot."
