Staff were polite but, strangely, absolutely refused to make a call to a local restaurant for us to book a table (unfortunately we only have a data SIM in Japan so could not make phone calls). "Newly renovated Japanese-style room, eg. tatami, kotatsu table, floor mattresses, etc; lots of antique aspects (it’s an old samurai residence)! Staff was lovely, room is spacious and clean, washroom is clean and modern. The place also has a connected restaurant that specializes in gyoza and it was top notch. If anything, I’d recommend this place on vibes alone!!! "

"Basic hotel directly in front of Honhachinohe Station. Rooms small but clean. Large TV with Netflix, Disney+, etc. Easy 10 minutes walk to Main Street with many restaurants."
