Travelled with a big family and we enjoyed the big and spacious rooms that allowed us to stay comfortably. There was only one or two spots under the table that was dirty (we had to shift it to pick an item that fell). There are several types of bathroom. The ones with the bathtub beside the shower has more space and is more comfortable. The water pressure is good! Hotel staff were responsive and fast when we requested for items. The hotel is comfortable and takes care of little details evident in how the room was designed and amenities provided. For eg, light switches are conveniently located, with 2 toilet door openings with one near the bed and you don’t need to find your way in the dark. The sink has 2 taps to accommodate 2 persons. There is also a weighing scale, useful if you need to check the weight, including your luggage. You scan the key card to enter the room and there is zero failure rate unlike those cards...

Enjoyed our family stay for a long weekend. They were very helpful to arrange different types of rooms tailored to the needs of our group (although the under-occupancy rate at the time definitely made that more possible). One of the best parts of the stay was the enormous king-sized bed that my girlfriend and I fell in love with. For those who intend to stay here for a weekend get-away and rewind from weeks of overtime at work, this bed will solve all your insomnia problems and guarantee best...

Hotel is new and clean except location to far from city center and tourist attractions.

My family was very happy and comfortable in Marriot Haikou Hotel. We felt safe and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is very new and the staff is also new.Some were inexperience but were passionate abt their job.

The hotel room with king size bed was small but very clean and new. The staff were very helpful and assisted us in contacting PRC authorities when we could not reach them because we did not have a PRC phone number. They went the extra mile to make our stay more comfortable and even helped us to find a room when they were very packed knowing we had to wait for some official documents. Kudos especially to Ms Carina Chen who really made our day.

Food at Chinese restaurant is below average. Service is lousy.

The breakfast sent selection was great and the hotel is in a good location - reachable by public bus though it would be more cost effective to take a cab if you have more than 2 pax

The front desk staff were extremely polite and helpful. We were checked into our room swiftly and enjoyed the western food at the restaurant. Pls note that when arriving at the hotel, taxi drivers may drop you off at the nearby Holiday Inn Express instead. Facilities are decent, but could be spruced up a little (e.g. clean soap stains on glass, carpet looks a little old).
