Village House This is the name of this grand building dating from 1830, a former dower house of Halstead Place. A dower house was built for the widow of the late owner of the main estate, to enable the heir to live in the estate house proper without her immediate presence.

Nice hotel in great location. No sure if it is just my room (517) but walls a bit thin and could clearly hear man in next room talking on the phone every night. Fortunately did not talk all night… but a bit disturbing when you want to sleep.
