Helpful staff
Amazing service from very helpful staff by late checkin and when I needed to leave my luggage there after checkout. Even though I had a room facing the street, the room was quiet when the window was closed.

Brilliant, clean and really friendly staff. For a basic hotel pillows were lovely and plump and shower was great l. Little sweets left on the bed was a nice touch.

Very nice look and feel in a great location. No air con though which was very tough when we travelled in the height of summer, I know it is Europe but it was really uncomfortable in the heat. Otherwise the staff were great and very helpful with our numerous questions about the city.

Fun, but dodgy area .
Must get help at nearby hotel if your key stops working, which it did, as the front desk is often unstaffed. Otherwise, fine. The area reminded me of Times Square in NYC from the 70's - lots of sleeze. But overall, a good place.

The hotel is well presented and the room is very clean. Its warm and quiet at night. We accidentally left our "clean me" sign on the door and housekeeping did a great job. The only downside was there were no glasses or cups to drink from and the pillows arent quite firm enough for my liking. But on the whole the room and hotel are both lovely and very very very good value for money. The shower was perfect too! I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Disappointing stay
Very disappointed with the location being in the red light area and the lack of staff on the reception desk especially as our check in paperwork was available in the pigeon hole for anyone to take. The main door is not locked over night and with no staff there after 22:00, it makes the place feel vulnerable to anyone just walking in. The cleaners arrived at 06:00 and let’s just say they do not keep the noise levels down. The bathroom is very small too.

Very poor service and cleanliness.
The sheets had what looked like human excrament stains and dried blood stains told the person at reception 5 hours later still the sheets hadn’t been changed so we ended up changing the sheets ourselves. Then another day no cleaners had came to clean then room and there wasn’t anyone at reception for 6-7 hours a notice was in place saying that the receptionist had to leave due to illness I have stayed at this hotel before and was satisfied with the service but the service this time is awful and wasn’t very happy at all really wasn’t worth the money.

Was on a business trip with early start and late finish. Hotel was located 10 minute walk from office. The hotel was perfect for shower and sleeping. Simple, easy, practical and well-priced.

The Wifi never worked kept saying incorrect password , the hotel person kept on saying they cannot help. It was really important for me to have Wifi which i didn't have in the hotel.

Not bad for solo travelers
The area for solo traveling is good, I walked everywhere and you are so close to so many good places! Saturday night was loud so I used ear plugs and the hotel is small so you can hear people. Stairs are okay if you’re young and don’t mind going up them with luggage. A pain having no kettle service. That I struggled with a lot. Also the cleaning was a bit rubbish, wouldn’t replace toilet roll or would remove things and not replace. Kept moving my things around. For where it is it was good for me as I was on my own and could do what I wanted! The area does have a lot of poverty but it’s the same in most cities. Bed was good, I slept well and the rooms are nice even if they are small. For what it is it wasn’t too bad and it’s okay for one or two people but the bathroom is small. That didn’t fuss me as I was on my own. It’s a shame they don’t do food but I knew that before I booked. If I went again I would stay there as it was close to so many places and I enjoyed walking. Staff were okay, asked about some things and they had no idea which I wasn’t happy with. One staff member didn’t seem to know the area well and that was a shame. Overall a good stay.

Exactly what’s needed. Clean, relaxing and stylish rooms with great bedding, towels, entertainment and shower! It could do with easier access to a hot drink, but everything else was perfect. There are a number of local restaurants, it’s a few minutes from the underground railway, literally two minutes from the airport, and had friendly, helpful staff.

Great stay at Centro North
Great stay at the Centro Hotel North, right in the middle of things. Modern clean room, not a lot of space but fine for me. Never heard any noise from the street. I would certainly stay here again next time in Hamburg

Tiny tiny tiny
Platform bed is very low off the floor, difficult to get out of bed. Room and bathroom are smaller than that found on a cruise ship. Hotel is on the reperbahn where there are a large number of strip bars, hookers, and night time noise. A nice hotel if you want to be close to the "action" but not a place for a good night's sleep.

I can definitely recommend the hotel, it's clean and comfortable. The location is amazing if you're parting at the reeperbahn. The Hotel is definitely not for handicapped persons, long, narrow stairs and no elevator.

A hotel right on Reeperbahn could go either way but the room wa clean and comfortable. Great shower too! I was lucky to be in 1st floor as I had a large suitcase and a large box of work samples. (there is no lift!)

Great Location for a Weekend In Hamburg
This hotel is in a great location right on the Reeperbahn. It's also only a short walk to Schanzenstrasse and the neighbouring streets which is a nice bohemian area with cafes and shops. I was able to walk into the city centre as well from the hotel but that can take at least 20 minutes; OK for a tourist who wants to walk around taking photos. The hotel itself was very clean and either new, or newly renovated. The one thing I noticed was that there didn't appear to be a lift (elevator) in the hotel. This was OK as I was able to drag my luggage up the stairs but may not suit everyone.

Even though my resevation was confirmed and paid for they had no available room for me and my wife. It was impossible to find a new hotel at 22:30 Saturday night I Hamburg, so we ended up sleeping on the floor in our friends room.

Don't stay anywhere else for your Reeperbahn trip!
Excellent service. Let us check in (4 hours) early even though we hadn't requested this in advance. No kettle in room but you can't expect everything for the price u pay. Note - there's no elevator. So if this is a problem then request a lower floor :)

Convienient for what I wanted.
I knew I had heard of the Reepaburnn but I couldn't remember why. I now know, that said I had a very enjoyable three days in Hamburg, the water front is a pleasant walk away, (I need the exercise more than most)

My wife and I stayed in a double-bed room during August of 2015. Very basic, yet clean and modern hotel. Rooms were clean. Location is great for the party crowd, if you don't mind the oft seen drunken panhandler. One should consider getting a room on a higher floor, especially during a weekend stay as the sound of slamming doors and outdoor partyers may keep the sensitive traveler awake. Rooms although extremely small, are reasonable for those who only expect to use their rooms for sleeping. I found the desk staff to be helpful and pleasant, (unlike many smaller cheaper hotels who act like their doing you a favor). This hotel really is the little engine that could. I wouldn't mind another no frills stay here for a week or so.

Comfy...if you're not on the first floor
North Hotel is right on the Reeperbahn, so if that's where you want to stay, it's perfect. There are clubs and bars and (seemingly harmless) homeless people right outside the hotel, but the window seals tightly and shuts out the noise. The rooms are small, but clean and functional. The staff is friendly and helpful and speaks decent English. Late check-out (11 AM) is not allowed, though they will store your bags for you. However, they don't have storage lockers. We recommend avoiding the first floor as the room they originally assigned us (101) was so small that it had no room for two suitcases to lay open (without putting one on the bed), nor did it have air-conditioning, which is important since opening the window for ventilation at night would make it hard to sleep due to street noise. Luckily the staff was able to switch us to the 2nd floor, which was slightly roomier and had A/C. We had a comfortable stay.

Not for the light sleeper
It was difficult to find the hotel as the entrance was one of the doors off of a casino and there is no sign out front. At night every time someone came in you could hear the front door slam as well as doors from the floor above. There is no air conditioning so the room would get fairly stuffy but the windows face the Reeperbahn so opening it meant you would get noise from below. The room itself was pretty basic so probably best for someone just looking to be near the main road who just needs a place to sleep at night.
