Bad matteress, dangerous plug socket
As a whole the hotel was okay it was clean and tidy. However I stayed for 3 nights and could barley sleep the matteress was well and truly destroyed the springs dug in and you sank straight to the divan base. One of the plug sockets was broken and didn't hold the plug in making it spark when you plug something in. The shower head was full of limescale and there was no towel rack.

Here at Days Inn we like to prioritise the safety and comfort for all guests, and taking your feedback into consideration, we did investigate this matter. I can only apologise again for the discomfort you had with the mattress in your room and we have now reported this to avoid further issues. There is always a member of our team available to help you in matters of any issues or needing a room change. As for the plug sockets, we had our maintenance team investigate this and no issues or damages to the sockets were found. Our team understand and value the cleanliness of our hotel, and hygiene is our top priority, our showers and bathrooms as a whole are cleaned after every guest and due to the water in Scotland being soft, limescale build up is very minimal. Although there were no issues or concerns regarding your room brought to our team's attention during your stay, If you would like to talk further regarding any issues about your stay, please feel free to myself or our hotel directly. No frills comfort
Stayed in a family room when we needed a stopover near Glasgow at short notice. The hotel is no frills, but the room was warm, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was free and the staff were friendly. The decor was tired and other than the service station there is no catering available. This is perfect if you want a basic, comfortable place to stay. You get what you pay for. Would book again

I’ve stayed in bad hotels but this beats them all.
Staff were friendly but hotel was very poor. The place is completely run down and dirty. Green slime growing around headboard. Black mould in bathroom. Toilet doesn’t flush properly. Sink surround damaged and dirty. Desk surface was sticky, I dread to think with what. No food available in hotel at all, I was directed to McDonalds next door or Costa (which closes at 6:00pm). Next morning when I was leaving, reception was shuttered so nobody to give feedback to. Very poor hotel. Better to sleep in your car.

I would like to apologise on behalf of the hotel that your stay didn't here did not meet your expectations. Hygiene is at the upmost importance here for all guests and staff alike, and with saying this, we do encourage any guests with immediate concerns to report these to a member of our team to help rectify the issue at hand or offer another room for the comfort and satisfaction of whomever may need it. Although you failed to contact our staff during or after your stay at the days inn. Our manager has looked into these concerns you have raised in this review and we do apologise again that our rooms do hold there original designs and décor as we are in line for a new refurbishment, with our rooms being remodelled with new furnishings. As for our catering services, unfortunately we cannot offer such services within the hotel, but we do offer a 24hr McDonalds and WHSmith along side a Costa café and drive through. If you would like to speak further please feel free to contact a member of our reception team who are available at any hour of the day. Any further information regarding your stay and the hotel guest information can be found on the emails sent pre and post stay at Wyndham hotels.

Easily the worst experience I have had having stayed at dozens of hotels around the world (I travel a lot for work). The rooms were unclean and unhygienic, the staff was unfriendly, and the facilities were lacking or broken. I had to apologize to my family for putting them through the ordeal of staying here.

NO SLEEP - no soft close on doors, doors banging up and down corridor all night. Too many noisy guests. One room had no cold water. One room had no fitted toilet seat. Only 2 sockets per room so had to unplug mobile to dry hair - hairdryer was useless. Rooms too hot and A/C not working. Book elsewhere if you acyually want some sleep

Convenient stop-off
We stopped off to break a 500 mile drive to the north of Scotland. The hotel was satisfactory for this purpose. The hairdryer was broken but there were no staff around to provide a replacement. Overall, is was convenient and if we were to make this trip again, it provided an overnight stay.

Not worth the money
I picked this hotel as it was central to where I needed to be for working. When I arrived after a long journey, check in was slow. I stayed for 2 nights. The wifi did not work the whole time I was there, which meant I could not work once I had finished the job I was on. The bathroom was horrible, didn't feel nice at all and was so old and marked. Went to wash my hair and the shampoo was completely empty which I only found out once I was already in the shower... Hairdryer smelt like it was burning and again was so old. It did singe my hair so stopped using it. The room was okay, beds were fine. Hallway smelt of weed. As a lone female traveller, I didn't feel great about being here if I'm honest, which is a feeling I haven't experienced before. I wouldn't have minded but for £213 for 2 nights (£107 per night) I would have expected it to be a bit nicer, but even the basics weren't there. If I'd had paid £60 a night, I would have accepted it all, but not at the cost I paid. Not okay. Sadly means I wouldn't go back, which is a shame because I work away a lot, and having an electric car I often stay in hotels at services for ease of charging.

Awful nights sleep. Doors banging all night, just come from a similar hotel who thought enough of guests to fit soft closers. Right through to the early hours jut nodding off and bang. As for cleanliness. Took a photo but cant upload of funny sign that says cutlery goes in dishwasher beside the filthiest tea spoon you could find, luckily I stopped short of putting it in my hot Chocolate drink tub or the lot would've gone in the bin. Awful.

Ideal quick stop over
The stay was perfect for what we needed, which was a quick overnight stay on our way further north the following morning. The hotel is basic, but clean, although a little dated in the bathroom with a couple of cracked tiles etc. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was a little bit noisy due to the lorries going past the back but closing the room window blocked out most of this noise. We definitely stay again if repeating the same journey

The room just did not feel clean every surface felt sticky the mattress was uncomfortable very soft and big neon billboard outside in the car park stopped the room from going dark

Bed was broken and small in size. It provided no support whatsoever and we constantly felt like we were falling off it. Most lights didn’t work. Wall had excessive damage. When opening the tap for the sink was always soaked from stomach to feet. Needs a big renovation.

Was clean and tidy rooms. Location was decent. Only down fall was one of our rooms had no hot water and we was offered a gift voucher per night but kept telling us to go to a manager when we asked for the second one so we didnt get it as no manager was on. Overall we was happy with the stay.
