Hilton Garden Inn Niagara-on-the-Lake

"As always the staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Our stay was not as good as usual however as the hot tub was not hot. It was the same temperature as the pool We informed staff as the hot tub is a main reason we chose this hotel and they apologized but this was not resolved. Also this time our room faced the free parking lot instead of the garden. I would not stay on this side again. The traffic was very noisy and we were awoken several times by fire trucks and emergency vehicles sirens on the nearby highway. Previous stays in rooms on the garden side were lovely and peaceful. On the positive side, the breakfast was a lovely experience made even more so by the fantastic greeter and servers! Thank you"

"Staff were friendly and helpful. They always had a smile for you. I really appreciated that the front desk lady switched our room to an inner room that faced the courtyard instead of the road. It helped with having a way to entertain my young child in a safe environment. Sad the outdoor pool was closed. My husband appreciated that there is a full gym available for guests. I had looked forward to the aquafit class but the instructor was on holidays. The remote to the tv didn’t work and staff replaced it quickly. Which was nice. It was nice to see that the food for the complimentary breakfast was rotated daily. There was a girl training in the restaurant during breakfast. I don’t know if it was that she was training or just her personality but she was great. Really on the ball about making sure the food was topped up and that plates were cleared in a timely manner. It was noticeable when she wasn’t working. Some negatives are the lack of overhead lighting in the room. The bathroom light switch was outside of the bathroom. The door to the bathroom was a real pain as you had little room to scoot around it to get in to the bathroom."

"Lovely room with two double beds. Lovely and large bathroom. Really enjoyed the fine dining restaurant. The dinner : mussles, steak , dessert and coffee were amazing. Breakfast: eggs cooked just the way I like them. Try the turkey sausage because it is so good.breads at both meals had that just baked freshness. The food was exquisite and the service impeccable. Can’t wait to book my next visit."

"Stayed here for my birthday weekend w/ my family of 4 & we really enjoyed our stay! Check-in was a breeze and shortly after arriving, I received a text message from the hotel letting me know I could communicate w/ guest services via text throughout our stay. This was super convenient & they were always very responsive. We had a small issue with the duvet in our room & after sending a quick text, housekeeping was sent promptly to resolve it. The customer service throughout our stay was excellent. The kids especially enjoyed the amenities, esp the swimming pool. The location is also perfect, very close to Clifton Hill and easily walkable to many attractions. The only downside was the pricey parking, so we ended up parking off-site across the street instead. What truly stood out was the exceptional service after our stay. I accidentally left my AirPods behind after checkout & didn’t realize until we got home around midnight. I immediately tracked them & emailed guest services & hotel security with the location information, honestly not expecting them to actually be found. Within 48 hours, the hotel manager personally called me to let me know they had located them using the details I provided! Since they were a fairly new & was an xmas gift I was incredibly grateful. They shipped them back to me right away & I received them the very next day. Overall, we were extremely impressed and happy w/ our stay. The staff truly went above & beyond our expectations!"

"Great stay!! Loved our room, and the Club Level upgrade was well worth it, with a very nice lounge and great selection for breakfast as well as evening Hors d'oeuvres. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a great view. All staff members we met were incredibly kind and welcoming. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!"
