Centrally located!Safe and quite!Exceptional customer service.Receptionists are friendly so are those in the dining area.Security personnel very helpful with welcoming guests as well as helping with lugguage during check in and check out.I would highly recommend!

What did I like about the place, absolutely nothing. The images they use for advertising don't show the actual state of the place. It's run down and the images which influenced my decision to book a room may have been true 30 years ago but imagine what the place would look like after many years of next to zero maintenance. They shouldn't use the images they're using now to advertise themselves because it shows a different hotel, they should get new images taken now and I wonder how many people would actually book with them when they see how it is now.

Substantial Decline in Standards
I am sorry if I sound harsh but the New Ambassador hotel that I knew before is no longer there? I know things are a bit hard at home lately but we expected better..cockroaches..dirty toilet basin and the general cleanliness was not up to standard. Only 1 container of bottled water for a couple with a baby? No calls to confirm if all was fine in our room..no room service?? Perhaps I expected much but I genuinely believe we can do better..My wife took photos but we decided against pasting these to protect your image.

I loved the old but beautiful feel of the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Bravo Zulu to all the staff, especially the Gentle Sir who fed us Kudu meat.

Stayed in one of the double rooms, has very shiny floor tiles in the bath room. In the morning after shower I tried to walk out of shower I stepped on these floor tiles and they are very slippery and I slip and fell badly resulting in an injured elbow. There was not enough towels in the bathroom.

I liked that it was in town, within close proximity to everything l needed. The rooms are very small and cold. The bar is outdated only two types of beers were available.

The location of the property is wonderful. You can access the all the necessary shops /restaurants. This is in a country where economy is terrible, yet these guys are so humble and professional and also cater for guests' needs. Thank you to the staff.

Cleanliness they are update even their facility are gud have nothing to complain.Maybe if they can add small microwaves in their rooms some guests are diabetic hence eat during the night . Otherwise my stay there was great intending to go back there.

The staff were courteous and efficient as well as cheerful. The property need refurbish elevators and floor. I do recommend the hotel as it is best value for money

Staff are very courteous, polite and pleasant. My first stay was good. Second stay, few days later was exceptional. The room was excellent with all items in abundance. Bedding and set up was top notch. Security staff carried my bed to my car. "refreshing morning" is the New Ambassador way of greeting guests. I forgot my items. They were found and kept safely and handed over to me.

Location is great - everything is close by: the president' office (Munhumutapa Building) right behind the hotel; Defense house adjacent to hotel, gas / service station right across from hotel, Church (catholic) across from hotel, parliament of Zimbabwe just a block over. Living environment: Due to vicinity to the above, place is busy with absolutely nightmare for parking, no pull in area to get out of car/taxi and move luggage out into lobby. In fact, pull in area in front of hotel will have entry and exit blocked by parked cars and two or three cars literally parked in the pull in driveway. If you want to work - the internet connectivity is great on both iPhone and Apple Mac Book (i should just say on mobile phone and laptop).. but not sure how android works with this WiFi because i an iPhone person The working area in my suite was great with a desk, and a stool (could really use a desk chair if you want comfort or have lots to do that require use of desk. The balcony was locked shut. Bed is comfortable but pillows could be better. Warm/Hot water functions well. I took showers in morning and around 10pm and on those times I didn't have any challenges with water temperature of pressure. The best.... The staff are just fabulous. Polite and helpful. The worst...If you have to stay here on weekends, consider not to. They have music/disco on Saturday night and the noise is just unbearable. the also use roof balcony area for music functions including live bands. ,
