"Room was superb, ned was a bit hard for my taste bit not uncomfortable, breakfast was buffet style but very fresh and high quality. Staff were VERY polite and nothing was too much trouble. Overall my stay was excellent"

"Just returned from a fantastic stay at Chestnut Villa. The room was simply beautiful, spacious, in great condition and spotlessly clean. It had great amenities, also. Everything you could need was provided in the room. The area itself was stunning and our view was exceptional. I think any of the rooms in the house would have a fantastic view as the house was surrounded by beautiful peaks and the gorgeous Herdwick sheep - just a perfect vista to wake up to early morning. The village with its little shops and eateries was a 5 minute stroll away. Our host Michael was great. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. "
