Checking in using the pre-provided door codes was a little unnerving at first but the system worked and proved to be very useful. No forgetting keys or cards. The property is very clean, quiet, had everything we wanted. Great breakfast served with a cheery smile. Would certainly stay there again.

Enjoyable
Our stay was brilliant, the room was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and we were made very welcome. The breakfasts were excellent too.

Great Stay at the Fountains
We had a great stay in an apartment at the Fountains. The staff were very helpful & the breakfast was delicious, the only thing missing was some fresh fruit. Free off street parking was a big bonus. Milk & a bottle of cava were left in the fridge for us on arrival. Location was perfect, only a 5-10 min walk to some very good bars, restaurants, shops & the stunning Valley Gardens. Would highly recommend you stay here.

3 night stay in Fountains apartment
3 night stay in Fountains serviced apartment which was clean, modern and close to all main attractions / shops. Provision of initial items - tea bags / coffee / salt / pepper etc, along with adequate cleaning materials and toilet rolls to last full stay. Towels were supplied and were large and soft and good quality. Kitchen was fabulous and very new and suitable for a family. Only two points to mention, had to call the help line number to get door entry code , but, sorted out quickly and courteously and a few pre- stay questions also answered quickly and efficiently. Would score it at 9.9 out of 10 and only reason for this was that there were a few cobwebs and spiders to be seen, mostly in corners or on carpets, which were not a major issue and could have been sorted out with a quick whoosh round along tops of walls and along skirtings prior to our arrival. Overall, this property does what it says on the tin and would certainly return in the future and would recommend to any other families looking for a comfortable , central place to stay in Harrogate

Thank you also for bringing the few cobwebs and spiders to be seen this is not our usual standard of cleaning. We have reported this back to our housekeeping team who will take action appropriately. In the future, we would encourage you to report these types of issues to the host immediately so that they can be dealt with and not have an impact on your overall guest experience. Conveniently located on a leafy road, lots of character and short walk to shops and restaurants. Good breakkie and friendly staff. Lovely clean and comfy room. Perfect for our stay! Thank you!

A very comfortable stay.
Very clean and pretty much everything you could have asked for. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff at breakfast time. Would have been nice to have personal check in and biscuits for that added extra. Located very conveniently for a short walk in to town. Enjoyed a delicious meal at Stuzzi and a very interesting tour of the Royal Hall.

We have installed the smart locks as a result of the pandemic and now feel they offer our guests greater flexibility, also no issues of losing keys, it's also much more secure. Mark and Rob have small families so making themselves available for every check-in at Fountains and our sister property, The Belmont is not always possible. We do ask guests to let us know if they require assistance with bags but on the whole, most guests are onboard with the self-check-in arrival process.

Hi Yong,Thank you for your feedback, the room you booked is a king studio that has a larger bed (6ft wide), I'm sorry if you feel that it is smaller for your preference but this is our standard king studio. I am sorry also that it's very noisy regarding traffic, hoping for your kind understanding on this matter that we don't have any control of this since we are located near the town centre.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. Breakfast was great and staff were very accommodating to my GF needs and flexible when it came to servicing our room. The room entry lock system was brilliant never having to worry about remembering a key or card. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed.

Excellent relaxing break
Spacious room with high ceiling and view over the park. Excellent shower. Great breakfast and the little touches like free fresh milk in thermos and free parking permit made this an excellent stay . Would definitely use again if visiting Harrogate .

Fantastic stay
Communication was fantastic, the room was lovely and clean, shower was a really good size and facilities were great. Breakfast was really good and the lady who served breakfast was lovely and helpful. Will stay here again.

Good place to stay
Really like the hotel and room entry system. Good location and friendly owner and staff. Paid attention to little things like complimentary milk for making tea and coffee in the room. A good job all around.

Overnight Stay - Wedding Anniversary
Very enjoyable and comfortable overnight stay. Communication excellent, accommodation very clean and comfortable. Service at breakfast great. Only small point; for rooms at the front of the property, it would be great in the details to make it clear that there may be some road noise, especially in the summer with the window open. That said, although the road is fairly busy during the day, it did quieten right down later in the evening.

Great location for access into Harrogate. Although the car park at the rear was full there was plenty parking in the side street close by which was free with parking disc. Not so keen on NO meet & greet when we arrived at the property. We did have a few problems getting the code to work on our bedroom door, thankfully we managed in the end & once used to the system it worked fine.. maybe it's an age thing!! The breakfast team in the morning were really good! The idea for owners to life offsite was a new experience for both of us.

Hi Brian, Thanks for your review and feedback. Unfortunately, the world is a very different place from how it was 2 years ago - as a result, we have adapted and have installed smart locks to allow flexible check-ins for our guests. We are not available for meet and greets for all of our guests but if you need assistance, please let us know in advance. The access code is unique and configured especially for your room and for the dates of your stay. The instructions we send are quite clear and we also have instructions on the lock itself for how to operate them. In general, the feedback has been very positive, much more secure, flexible for guests and us as hosts, no risk of losing keys and as you say once you were used to it, it worked fine. We have several properties under the Harrogate Stays brand so we do not live on-site, however, we have a team close by available should it be required. Thank you and best wishes, Mark

A really great place to stay within walking distance of Harrogate town centre. Received all the details to do with arrival in good time by message. Really quick to respond to any questions. Easy to park - There is a small car park at the back of the property. Easy no contact entry into the guest house. Everything is set up for a relaxed comfortable stay - lovely lounge area, comfortable bed, really great shower room & plenty to see & do around & about. Thank you The Fountains Guest House
