Not worth it.

This is a hard review to write. The “inn” is a renovated motel; ok room but no closet ( just a rod), small bathroom, well tended grounds, lovely pool. Quiet. Breakfast was good, but there was no coffee the first morning, due to a “delivery” issue. Seemed we were the only guests too. We never met a staff person - no need to check in, the room doors was left open and the keys on the table. No housekeeping unless you texted and specifically asked for it. We never actually saw anyone connected to the inn except for when we found our bathroom floor flooded after returning for the day and had to call for help, since if you needed anything, you were advised to send a text or call a number hanging on a sign by the office door. We had to call twice, and we did get responses pretty quickly. We ended up having to move rooms after the bathroom floor flood.Would we stay there again? Probably not, considering all the other options on the Cape.

Price doesn’t match the stay

Allen Harbor Inn is a cute, well situated hotel/motel. The room was clean and the owner is very kind and helpful. Restaurants and beaches are a very short drive away. The owners note in their guide that town is walkable but I wouldn’t say so. It’s about a mile away which is kind of a trek to go out to dinner in my opinion and I’m young. All this being said, for the price per night I expected a bit more. Breakfast was just okay (bagels, yogurt, and pastries) and the wifi in our room didn’t work our whole stay. I feel like in 2021 wifi is a given so I’m disappointed that it was never fixed. If you’re comfortable with the price I’d say this is a great find but all in all I wish we either spent more and went somewhere really nice or spent less and knew what to expect.

A lovely haven.

We were made to feel so welcome by Flora. Our room was charming and the homemade breakfast in the morning was delicious. The swimming pool was great and the offer of a glass of wine sitting in the sun after a swim made it all the more special. Thank you to David and Mimi also, you make a great team.

We had such a lovely stay here. The staff are so nice, the grounds well kept, and rooms very clean. As a nursing mom, it was helpful to have the refrigerator in the room. The location of the hotel is great-just a 10 minute walk to the beach and super short drive to the downtown area. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a beach town getaway!

Loved this Inn. Very clean, comfortable. Relaxing chairs in front of the room overlooking the beautiful green gardens. A nice glass of wine in the evening and a wonderful breakfast with the best homemade pastries and scones. We will be back.

It's not often I can leave a 5 star review but this family run establishment was spot on. Beautiful property, comfy room (we had the Captain Suite), lovely staff and delicious fresh breakfasts.

Our stay at the Inn was exceptional! Flora and Fiona made us feel like family and were extremely helpful! The scones were incredible and we also enjoyed the wine each night! Our stay there was the perfect way to celebrate our tenth anniversary and experience the Cape and Nantucket!

The inn was charming! The hostess, Flora, was delightful and was very helpful in providing names and directions to interesting places during our stay. She was very accommodating. And, the breakfast was delicious, especially the scones, baked by her daughter. Would definitely recommend the inn to others!

Stay Here! This inn is fabulous and it does have a nice breeze when you sit outside. Beautiful gardens, immaculate rooms, wonderful hosts and the best scones for breakfast. I thought I didn’t like scones, I was wrong. Fiona’s are so good along with blueberry pudding. It’s like staying with family, only better. This family can bake and garden.

Excellent Stay!

Our stay at the Inn was excellent! Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable. We ended up having a lobster bake and we needed recommendations on where to purchase lobsters. We asked Flora, the owner, and she went above and beyond, even calling multiple places to compare prices. Breakfast was also amazing. We will definitely be staying here again!

A comfortable, friendly and quiet retreat during s busy wedding weekend. Lovely breakfast including freshly baked scones and plenty of fresh fruit. It was a hot weekend, so we enjoyed using the pool. This inn has a homey, welcoming atmosphere. We would certainly stay here again.
