Hotels near Hawaiian Rumble

"Acknowledging there is construction going on, we specifically booked an ocean front room and upon arrival found that ALL of our windows and patio had tarp over it (meaning we couldn’t see a thing outside - felt as if we are trapped in a basement). They removed this the next day but in my honest opinion they shouldn’t have allowed these rooms to be booked because it tainted our whole experience, or they should very clearly advertise the windows are essentially blacked out, which would have caused us to choose a different hotel. The noise levels in the room next to us was atrocious (teenagers literally screaming), so my kids couldn’t sleep the whole night. The next night I messaged the hotel and they appropriately sent someone to deal with it. All in the staff was very nice but they should have waited a month to open up full so they wouldn’t have to risk unhappy guests who won’t return. "

"Overall this was a decent place to stay. We were only in town for two nights. The room we had had a few issues link the sink drain in bathroom was broken so water would drain slowly the stopper had to be lifted manually to let water drain out. Some towels had black marks on them. The bed frame in bedroom was sticking out almost like frame was bigger than mattress and box spring scratch leg on it a few times could be a tripping hazard if people aren’t careful. Other than these few issues we had a great time."

"The front desk staff was friendy. I had a miss understanding about parking. Had to pay parking and put a hold on my credit card for damages that i was unaware of. The kitchenette did not have a oven, there were two steps in the room, that i had difficulty with. Couldn't get the TV to work, called front desk they sent someone that fixed it. Negative things about the room that needs maintainence attention is, the dining room chair the rods are out of the legs, the table was so wobbly you couldn't use it. The refrigerator was leaking, the lamp in the bedroom doesn't work. I'm not sure how the resort got a 9.0 rating. I did not notify maintenance of these things on site, didn't want to be bothered with them working on things. My question to you Expedia do hotels have set rooms that are for Expedia customers that are not top rate. This is my thought process for trip. The resort is large and beautiful with lots of things to do."

"Gorgeous beach view, clean and comfortable room. A little outdated, but that doesn’t detract from the stay at all. Only suggestion is to put shower curtain liners in - the bathroom in the king room had a mesh panel at the top of the curtain and the water went right through it and flooded the bathroom floor. We wound up turning the shower head towards to wall and showered facing the curtain to minimize the water on the floor. But overall we loved our stay and would absolutely recommend!"

"The view from the balcony was gorgeous. The condo itself was a good size (2 bed/bath, full kitchen). It was clean, but you could tell it was an older unit. Wasn't bad for a quick weekend, but definitely not worth the price for any longer. There was very little parking at the actual building. We had to park in the overflow parking lot which was down tge street about a tenth of a mile. "
