"We booked 2 rooms on my Amex Platinum card for a weekend that was considered in between seasons (very low capacity). We checked in the evening on a Friday. The rooms were fine (small bathroom but ok). It isn't too late for dinner so we headed down to eat. There was no one to greet us or to seat us at a table and after a few minutes we just sat down. Finally the server came and asked us to order right away as the kitchen would close soon (it was only 8:45). The manager showed up and said they would comp a desert as we weren't greeted upon arrival. Actually, I really didn't want desert, the glass of wine would be better but then ok. The staff not being around was a theme the whole weekend. The thing that bothered me the most was the day we checked out. I had a late flight and requested an extra hour to check out (even just one of the rooms). The receptionist Katy explained that 'No it was not possible'. The place was virtually empty. That's the last time I will stay at Black Rock Mountain Resort!"

"We love this inn for our annual Heber Valley trip. It's clean, the staff is very quick to handle anything needed, and it's comfortable. The pool and hot tub were undergoing repairs this year, but they still have a playground for kiddos and they give a 10% discount to the burger joint next door."
