"Be very careful when booking the Courtyard Santa Monica through Expedia. The Hotel will double charge you at their more expensive standard walk in room rate even though I showed them my receipt through Expedia."

"I checked in after 5:00 PM, left my belongings in the so-called “private” room, and went out to dinner and to watch the hockey game. When I returned after 9:00 PM, I found someone else staying in the room with all of my personal items still inside. Why the other person did not question the situation, I have no idea. Thankfully, nothing was missing. I immediately reported the issue, and the person at the front desk was very helpful and said he would provide me with a full refund. I came downstairs upset and said a few things out of frustration, and to their credit, they could have asked me to leave, but the staff understood the situation and provided me with another room. Again, the staff was very nice and handled the situation professionally, but after this experience, I will not be staying there again. Thank you, and good luck."

"Very nice but had no business center. Needed to find a new airline to return home after Spirit shut down during our vacation. Very difficult to do from my cell phone and spotty service"

"Good luck finding a parking spot. They do not disclose that parking is first come first serve and I had to park on the street with hopes of not getting towed. Bugs in the room! Shower handle broke off. Front desk staff were rude. First time here was great! Second time will be the last time! Will never stay again! "

"Love the look and vibe of this property. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Love the Culti shower gel. Greta at the front desk was lovely. The restaurant was cool and food was good. My only complaint was how long it took to get our food while sitting at the bar. Other than that, would recommend and would stay again. "

"I stay at The Viceroy quite often and love the location and the hotel itself - rooms are very nice and the gym is perfect with Peloton bikes included. Staff are very friendly and professional! Restaurant and bar is good. My only gripe is with the $70 overnight parking fee and the cars are parked outside! I know all parking in Santa Monica is expensive but it still irks me! Overall I’d highly recommend The Viceroy! "
