"Me and my husband have traveled to Shelbyville IN from NWI at least 4 times already this year with several more trips planned this year. All but 1 of those times was spent at Spillway. And one we spent one night elsewhere and moved the second night to Spillway. Spillway is not your fancy hotel. If you want that, look elsewhere. What Spillway is is a family business that provides a comfortable place to stay while not fishing our butt off in the local waterways. I have never had any issues here and everything is always working and clean. No complaints here and when my husband says he wants to go fishing, I always say, โ€œlet me see what Spillway has available.โ€ 10 star review if I could! Will always stay here as long as Spillway exists."

"Room was clean and we felt safe. The grounds were not kept up (crumbling concrete, gardens weren't maintained, etc.) and the breakfast was meager. A waffle machine that didn't make waffles (2 small pancakes every 2:30). Unappetizing eggs and 2 different kinds of sausage. There was cereal and yogurt as long as you like strawberry banana. I know it's free, but I've come to expect more from hotels."
