"The setting was ideal and peaceful, located in the woods next to the Reissersee with easy access to walking paths. The staff was excellent and breakfast was very nice. "

"This hotel is more a series of rooms with a brief front desk that is available from 4PM - 8PM. Rooms are spacious, but basic. There is Breakfast on offer. But lunch, and no dinner. And also no bar. Therefore you need a car if you are staying here. There are 2 restaurants available in walking distance (approx. 15 mins) and an infrequent public bus / train service which if you miss a bus, wait an hour. Miss a train, wait an hour. It’s a good walk from the train station as well especially if you have luggage. Staff were terrible. Reception desk provided completely incorrect information regarding ski hire and it not being available at the summit of zugspitze. Ski hire is indeed available. So why do they not know this? They challenged my review on google saying they had no record of my stay. Expedia knows I stayed here, as that’s how I booked. So now they get one star from me. "

"Such a wonderful family run hotel. The staff were great and very helpful, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The rooms were clean and offered a great view, the location was stunning and was close to a convenient rail station too. The breakfasts were always lovely and a nice way to start the day. Would definitely stay again!"

"We had a really magical few days at the property and Garmisch. Such a beautiful place, especially in the snow. Aldi nearby in the car and a walkable restaurant which was outstanding. The host allows use of sledges etc which my boy loved and some beautiful places to walk the dogs too. Honestly couldn't fault anything and host very helpful if required. I didn't want to leave!!!!"
