"Only stayed one night, couldn’t get a drink at bar as was after 10 when the bar closes, seemed a bit petty given we were residents. Breakfast was good and room facilities great. "

"A gem of a place. Breakfast was delicious and food cooked to order. Added bonus is the owner is a chef. You have the opportunity to a delicious evening meal cooked without the need to drive somewhere."

"Room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Hazel and Ian were superb hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices. Would highly recommend."
"I stayed for a couple of nights at the brilliant Troutbeck Inn during a brief trip south.
A first time visit to a welcoming inn which now feels like a home from home, and I very much look forward to returning with a bit more time in hand."
"Really fab. Great place to stay. Clean, warm and very well equipped. Nice touches - the owner left biscuits, chocolates and a personal Christmas card. Recommended
However, the property was badly let down by the agent - Sykes who provided poor service. The booking contract was with Hotels but I had to add an account with Sykes who then asked for an additional £13 for the basic booking. I had to spend some time talking and emailing to Sykes / Hotels to get it sorted. Poor set-up by Sykes with their 3rd party sales agent. I’ll be going out of my way to avoid Sykes"
"Brilliant pub and place to stay! Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Food was amazing, I had the chicken burger and a very good fry up in the morning. I would highly recommend. "
