Highgate Park Holidays

We had a great stay at Westgate Vacation Villas Resort. We only stayed for three days but enjoyed every bit of it. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to our villa and found that they had upgraded us to one of their renovated two bedroom villas; both bedrooms were spacious and had very comfortable beds. We were in town to visit Disney, but spent one day at the resorts water park, which was fun. The Amigo restaurant on the property was quite over priced. Their margarita was very watered down and did not taste anything like what I’m accustomed to. Also, be aware of the welcome invitation for breakfast and a “90 minute presentation,” after which you are promised all sorts of giveaways. It is a Timeshare presentation and they are pushy. They held me there for three hours trying to convince me to buy a timeshare. I declined to buy but was given all of the promised giveaways, which I was happy about. I wouldn’t mind returning to this property if I return to Orlando.

Amazing place, very clean and the amenities where adorable.

The rooms themselves were great, especially having the kitchenette. To be honest, the WiFi is spotty and pretty much didn’t work in our room for our entire stay including spotty cell service which didn’t help. The resort does not offer shuttle service to any nearby attractions so we had to use uber for anywhere we went. It was not a problem for us as I had planned for that just in case, but if you’re looking for shuttle service, they don’t have it. Lastly, I would just say the walls are a little on the thinner side. We were able to hear the neighbors snoring while in our bed and also were able to hear the neighbors near our entrance playing loud video games late at night. All in all, I would definitely stay there again because of the affordability and newer updated rooms as well as the amenities the resort provides. The beds were comfortable and the resort itself was in a convenient part of town for the Disney parks. Definitely worth the money you save by not choosing a Disney branded resort provided you are not a Disney fanatic.

The house was fantastic! Pool, hot tub, space was great!!! Held 14 people without us feeling tight. Lots of space! Will rent again!!

Cozy room and friendly staff. Breakfast was separate but was delicious!
