Orlando International Airport is the main airport serving Orlando and the vicinity, with more than 40 million passengers a year passing through its doors. It’s located around six miles southeast of the city, with rental car hubs and private transfer options available.
Indirect and direct flights to Orlando are available from a number of different carriers.
The car is a major method of transport around Orlando, with a transport system built around the road network. Hire cars in Orlando are affordable and widely available, so it’s a really easy way to get around between the parks, the beach and your accommodation. Just watch out for expensive gas stations near the airports when you return your car.
The LYNX bus and I-Ride trolley are the main public transport options, but many visitors opt to use the extensive private shuttle services on offer.

But, Orlando is about much more than movie magic and cartoon mice. The weather is a major plus, with only two real seasons: hot and hotter.
